Counter Strike

The year 2007 has gone by

Another great year, 2007, has gone, and for all those Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS 1.6) fanatics out there it has been a great year! I'm not going to hide our light under a bushel regarding Meet Your Makers and their fortunes, this is due to the fact that the organisation recently acquired one of the most effective teams when it comes to earning prize money last year. But I'll return to this later. Lets get to the facts.

It has been an overwhelming year for those people who have been following the development of CS 1.6, due to the fact that two teams earned a whole quarter of all money earned during last years events.

Most earned money - as per team of 2007

1. Sweden Fnatic ~ $134,694
2. Poland Meet Your Makers (f.d Pentagram) ~ $124,289
3. Denmark mTw (f.d. NoA) ~ $75,622
4. Sweden Schroet Kommando ~ $73,057
5. France emuLate ~ $65,097
6. Germany alternate.aTTaX ~ $64,877
7. Finland Team.Roccat (f.d. 69°N-28°E) ~ $50,803
8. Brazil Made in Brazil ~ $46,099
9. Denmark Gravitas Gaming (f.d. H2k) ~ $36,647
10. Germany mousesports ~ $36,536

The above mentioned statistic shows that Fnatic, yet again, comes out as the most earning team as of last year. But a funny thing appears when you compare last year with the statistic of this year: Fnatic won both years, but the difference between money earned last year and this year is only $150, which actually is quite amusing. But looking at the statistics, a lot of other things can be determined:

As of the first part of the year, MYM played great during the events attended, but during the last part of the year this effect turned out to be quite different; the team attended some events such as GameGune, where they didn't quite reach the top as in other events. On the other hand Fnatic and Noa actually earned a lot of their money during the last part of the year, which makes this statistic quite interesting. If the newly formed MYM team could've performed as well as earlier in the year, this might actually have looked different, but this is not a fact.

Last year the german formed organisation SK-Gaming didn't even make it to the top 25-ranks, but this year is quite different. By bringing in new faces, and yet again some from Ninjas in Pyjamas, the team has been able to strike back with a great deal of seriousness. The team managed to make people yet again believe that great things can happen if you truly believe in them!

A full list of the winners of all events during 2007 can be found at the bottom of this news. Happy reading! and by the way - We hope that you've had a great new year!

devide by 5, and the price money each player wins (if they recieve the hole amount themselves) it's not that much... Moon himself won aprox 160.000$ this year.
