Fragbet League: MYM > xLo

FBL

We return to the action in The Fragbet League on Sunday at 17 CET, as our undefeated MYM Squad takes on the team that is ranked 3rd out from 8, Portugal Excello, or shortened xLo. On Sunday, only one team can walk away with a still unshattered record, while the other will be left with the bitter taste of defeat.

After the great win last week against inF we were able to improve our position in the current Fragbet League table and moved up to second position. Here is the table before playday five where LRM has still a little advantage:

At the beginning of the year 2006, which will stay in remembrance as one of the best years of eSports, an average team was founded somewhere out of nowhere, particulary of the bone congenial backcountry of Poland and started to play BroodWar more serious.

It was the time when the Greek man Greece Bartar decided to become a dedicated plodder when he joined Poland -AFM-. The team was quite famous in Poland, and had a lot of great players and won some tournaments. But Bartar was the one who decided to rebuild the team. He picked the core of AFM and moved with them to the very young German multigaming team Germany BossClub.

Then the time came when he called some famous players like White-Ra, Strelok and Satanik, who are known for their high level of skill. Then in the early 2007 BOSS.SC moved to Excello, the team MYM faces now. Meanwhile, their roster is full of big names like Poland xLo.Draco or China xLo.Pj.

Greece xLo.Bartar:

MYM is regaining its old shine and doing great this season. My team is absorving the new addons and aiming on winning all titles again like in 2006. I expect a really close match with unpredictable result.

But who fears these guys? It will not be the players of MeetYourMakers! As for our own team, it can only be speculated who we will see in the lineup. It is unlikely we will see either Canada Testie or Taiwan, Prov- Sen on Sunday in my opinion, but China hbq or Russian Fede- Advokate - who dominates the ESL 1n1 ladder ranking at the moment- are two of the more probable choices for appearances from my perspective. I hope we see some good games and you can be sure that the SC Editor Crew will present you with live updates of the battle once again.

You realize, this is more than just an ordinary challenge, it is a fight for glory and honour! Stay tuned for results and replays!

errrm, europeans can beat the cr** out of koreans in wc3, europeans can't touch the koreans in bw, notice any skill difference? art of sc has gone beyond any game before, if it lives long enough it will be "chess of the new generation".

asians are micro/macro gods, that's the problem. and exceptions like grubby just confirm the rule ;-)

the ratio is not critical as in sc. grubby or whatever the rest of 'em are at least stand a chance, in sc there is no chance unless u do some cheese, all-in, do or die rush.

Wow guy, Sen not only showed up he got the ALL-KILL.. 'Earth to Testie, Earth to Testie.. looks like you have some competition for that ALL-KILL you've been chasing after. Sen did it, now its your turn!'

Sen back in form is very niccce. I likkke! How much?!?!?

For those saying Foreign SC Scene > Korean Pro Scene ROFL.. Get a clue or maybe perhaps we should enlighten you on our 'fair' game of BW. BW is the chess board game of the 20th century. You cannot compare any computer game to it in terms of balance and competition.

The idea of SC2 being greater than SC:BW is a Utopian ideal that will never be reached. Blizzard has never put out a crappy game and we'll just have to be patient to see what they put together.

GG you guys proved me wrong.. Now win that title!

Actually it can be implied in James post Dendra when you say the 'Korean Scene is even more boring to watch than the Foreigner Scene.' :P Tread carefully!

yeh, i read that comment. but actually i agree with that, partially. euro gaming maybe doesn't have the macro of midas in tvp, but euro games can be very fun since players are very creative, while in korea it's mostly - repeat same strategy 1000x, do it 1000x on tv, perfect macro, perfect micro.

in euro u see many mistakes, comebacks, etc. I remember when they made a movie of Xellos and his mistakes ;) could count 'em on my fingers. only person that makes bw interesting in korea is boxer, cuz he makes alotta mistakes and still manages to win...somehow...
