G7 presents Players Contract

With a mission statement saying that they want "To promote and improve professional Electronic Sports in all its aspects and safeguard the general interests of the member teams", the teams and organizations behind G7 have tried to take eSports one step forward. After giving the WSVG a runaround for their rule against using sponsored gear in their tournaments and teaching CPL a lesson for not paying out prizemoney, the G7 has been quiet as of late.

Today they can announced two very powerful tools for the future. The official "G7 Players Contract" and the "G7 Appendix" should be a great help to all the aspiring organizations and managers that are trying to tie up players to their organizations. As for the Players Contract it is simply put a Contract-template. It ensures both the team and the player that everything is included - they even made on with a health insurance in it.

The Appendix is somewhat similar to the Players Contract, although it is merely a document that explains which connection there is between a player and an organization.

As these templates might not be a major leap forward for professional gaming in itself, the support that they will get, is invaluable. As stated on g7teams.com; "Any player or team using the Contract or Appendix can count on the G7 Teams to support their efforts in honouring their contracts internally and externally."

This means that all the organizations - or players - that will be using this contract, will get all the help they need to honour their rights. As for the potential of this help, it is quite big. The G7 consists of teams from some of the biggest eSport-nations in the world: China, USA, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, UK and Poland. And who would be better suited for helping with legal issues in those countries, than the teams that have already been through it?

A little but still an important thing. There is still much work to do in connection to this, not only for G7.

This "contract" is ridiculously favorable to the clans themselves, who is looking out for the player? well who could expect that when a bunch of clan owners come up with it...

If force won't work, use greater force.
