DeMusliM: "4k didn't respect me"
WarCraft 3 news is breaking left and right these days - no time to breathe! Yesterday, Four Kings announced the release of their British talented player, 
Ben "DeMusliM" Baker. Being a representative in his own country clan first, he climbed to the top by playing for the Kings in the NGL-ONE and WC3L. According to their site, they couldn't agree on continuing the contract with DeMusliM. With his departure, he leaves a big gap behind, reducing the number of the team's players to four.
Now he posted over the boards on the 4k page, the real reason why he left. Also Grubby comments there, here is what they have to say:

| "Ok i'll give you the story as why i left the team. I joined a long time ago, May i believe and was promised alot of stuff - i was very happy to have this opportunity and practiced very hard for online tournaments such as Starswar etc, as i was only 1 week active i managed to do quite well coming top in my group. Then my first LAN tournament came ESWC UK where it came to me that this was my time to shine, as this is what i was meant to do for 4K.  - Win the UK events and support the name 4K. I did this with lots of practice, and yet, i had no reward and the promises already started to break. It went downhill from here for me, but i have huge motivation to practice - which i have been doing for the last few months. What grubby said in that interview is nothing to do with me leaving this team, it was my own decision and i believe that i can be treated better in a team that actually respects having me. I had college and practiced roughly 4-5 hours a day which for me is more than i have ever done, so grubby saying that my motivation was low is rather out of the blue. Eventually i got tired of broken promises and decided to do something about it - Leave. It wasn't because i got kicked, or i'm not practicing or taking the game seriously. I'm tired of not being taken seriously, not the other way round. I won't go into huge detail as i think thats unfair on 4k, but i think its best that instead of you jumping to your own conclusions that you hear how i truly feel. And i'm working on finding a new team shortly. Regards - demu." |

| "Feel like I need to explain something... There are two separate things here, which is my interview-where-i-mention-demu with Carmac on the one hand, and MusliM's leaving 4K on the other hand. Simply enough, the two aren't linked. Some wrong assumptions were made: I said DeMusliM is young, not immature.  That he's young is a fact, but he's not a baby. He's a competent player who learns fast and can put any haters to shame. I said he got thrown into a international position too soon, by that I only mean that since our line-up shrank, he's had to be in the line-up already, without waiting until we've had a proper discussion where we say ok, you're ready for it, let's rotate the LU's. Two things: he never complained about playing, nearly always made himself available when we needed him, and held out very well when he did play (beating Lyn, anyone?). His motivation to play and his amount of practice being low: that's one assumption I made based on not having spoken to Ben for a while, but actually it's not really fair since I would have no idea. I feel responsible for the rumours that have been going around how what I said about his motivation is linked to him parting with 4K, and I'm sorry for being the cause of those. I hope that this statement will have rectified the situation. Note that DeMu choose that this would be his time to leave, as anyone can choose it's his time to leave at some point: he did not get kicked. I'd like to finish saying that I hope he will find a new team quickly, as he'll be a great addition to a lot of line-ups." |

they are like a mid to above pack wpl team now. (not that loss of demuslim is even that big) but being stuck with fury and zeus is pretty rofl.
