FragBet League: MYM > MgZ

FBL

Fragbet League is a team tourney held and sponsored by the e-Sport betting site fragbet.com. The wonderful page will sponsor this season again, giving out 700 € total for the TOP3 (400-200-100). The tourney is conducted in a very interesting King Of The Hill system. As stated in the past, these matches will all follow the NGL One style format where each match is bo1, and the winner moves on to the next game. Which ever team takes 4 individual wins first, will win that specific match. The whole event will be played on March, 18th at 17 CET.

We want to concentrate your attention on the match between Denmark MYM and France MgZ, two teams from the TOP10 of the GG.net rankings. The MicroGamerZ were once led by the fast rising Polish zerg star, Poland Zerg ParanOid, who has risen very swiftly up the GosuGamers.net database rankings recently but left the team for ToT meanwhile. But also without them they got an extremely deep and powerful roster. Well known Croatian superstar, Croatia Zerg MgZ)Ptak, would probably be the next best known player to many, as he attend the WCG Grand Finals in 2006 and and is definately a player MYM must not underestimate. Several other top Polish players also compete under the MgZ) tag, such as Poland Protoss Mazur, Poland Zerg Fabian, Poland Protoss GohaN, Poland Protoss bH & Poland Zerg Moonshine. Even South America is represented by this team, as Peruvian Protoss Protoss MgZ)Darki now wears the tag. This is definately a team with the capability to continue on it's perfect streak.

Fighting for our side, MYM still maintains one of the most impressive rosters of any team in the foreign scene. Testie and Sen, both players who dominated the BW4ever tournament, and F91, one of China's stars will bring a load of glory and honour to the team - but it will be a real hard battle.

And here are special predictions to this match:

Australia Freezer, former leader of oG) and four:

If MYM show up with their best players then they would certainly start as the favourites. Testie and Sen would be confident against any player from the MgZ roster. But anything can happen with Oldy and Hungtran very capable of beating anyone on their day. I tip a close victory for MYM.

Sweden oG)zoxxer(, a Swedish ace:

Really a tough match to predict. Two of the four teams people usually mention as the best non Korean teams will take on eachother in KOTH style. My guess is that it will be a close match, where MYM takes it home in teh end. F91 will make the difference - if he is going to play. That's it!

Sweden jinro[S2], Sweden's sexy number 3:

MgZ has many players like so.o or Olday that did very well in the BW4ever tournament. And also the young bH from Poland plays pretty nice. So I think it will be close, but if MYM gets all their top players they are the favorites.

Romania vhallee, MYM.SC editor:

The MYM roster, with the two new additios, SEn and Testie, seems to be the favorite here. Add F91 to that and you get a force to be reckon with. On the other hand, MgZ has some powerful players, and I think that Oldy, Sea3, sO.o and the Gohan-Fabian duo will provide some good matches. Even though I see MYM as the winner here, it is up to the line-ups, as we are dealing here with two closely related teams in terms of skill.

***UPDATE*** Match started! There are alot of MgZ players in the channel fragbet-1 on Europe and only 5 MYM players, including the manager Ash. First game just started and it's our very own Taiwan, Prov- MYM.Sen vs Canada MgZ)Oldy on Tau Cross! MYM.Testie calls Oldy one of the best newschool gosu toss players! Half of the channel is screaming: "Sen for the all-kill!"

[17:25] Sen does it well! A perfectzerg vs protoss game played on a balanced map and Oldy is behind! Game 2 got under way with the rocket Sen playing against sO.o (best known as HungTran) on Luna!

[17:32] Sen: "Too fast, he got best respawn for the rush". Sen loses on Luna to a well timed zealot/probe rush by sO.o !

[17:35] Game 3, with such actors as MYM.hbq and MgZ)sO.o just started on the infamous map Luna. MgZ are all wondering why MYM put hbq as #2 and not as #4. Mondragon, who just joined the channel, has no clue how this going to end. "Both teams are very strong", says best German zerg.

I just saw the replay of the game where Sen lost. Zerg spawned at bottom left with protoss on bottom right. HungTran made two gateways on his expand ground, so zealots could go to Sen's base fast enough. First it was 1 zealot with 3 probes on Sen's main which he could somehow outmicro with 6 lings and drones, but in the end it went 5 zealots + 3 probes against 9-10 zerglings. Sen gave up.

[18:05] HungTran does it again! hbq lost and it's time for MYM.F91 to step in and fight! The map will again be Luna.

[18:10] The players are experiencing lag problems, F91 went to reconnect.

[18:20] It seems that the lag is over now. The game is going on without problems. Sen searches for a good Zerg player in the channel to play mass PvZ games. Maybe he will play an unofficial showmatch against Lowely.

[18:34] One of MgZ members: "I heard that Hung is losing". MYM.Ash: "WOW! good.". F91, after appearing on the channel: "win". Short, but true! The overwhelming force in the face of MgZ)sO.o is stoped by our Chinese warrior and game 5 between MYM.F91 and MgZ)Iefnaij starts! MgZ is putting real trust into USA and Canada toss players.

[18:45] The trust is proving real! Iefnaij or 88)JianFei as he is better known, wins over F91 and it's now time to introduce Testie!

[19:30] After a long game, Testie does what he has to do and wins! Nick: "I played like Androide, with my hatches away from the main". MicroGamerZ now look for the 4th and it's a player who joined MgZ just recently and who's former team was LRM - inneoov! This is the decisive game and after a short period of time we will see who will win the overall!

[CW finished] Finally, almost 3 hours of sitting in the channel and biting our nails, MYM wins! Testie brings the victory home, managing to take inneoov's tanks and vultures down!

When Testie is on, he surely is on. Imagine him with healthy fingers and well practiced. This guy has been on top the foreigner for well over 5 years; has fisheye's apm; and, still can kick any foreigner's ass pretty much any day of the week. That is fucking scary.
