Best-selling computer game in 1998, best strategy computer game of the same year and 9 million copies sold worldwide, which ranks it as the third best-selling computer game in the history. A highly awaited sequel is on its way, expected to hit the stores at the end of the next year. Currently under development by Blizzard Entertainment, the second game of the series is likely to surpass the success of its predecessor and perhaps even take over the E-sport scene. So whether we talk in numbers or just state the facts one thing is more than obvious - it is StarCraft we are talking about.

All that we know about StarCraft 2 so far can be summarized in just couple of words and a single statement - "maybe", "probably" and "it will be done when it is ready". Actually no matter what you hear or read it is either a rumor or a speculation. The only "reliable" source is Blizzard, but yet even the developers admit that nothing is final.

A recent find suggests, just how "big" StarCraft 2 actually is, though whether it is just another speculation or it is Blizzard toying with us, decide for yourselves. Keron Cyst from Heaven Games had posted some very interesting screenshots from one of the Blizzard trailers. Apparently if you play the video slow enough, you will clearly see the logo of ID Software hidden between the scenes. Keron's sharp eye noticed, that something appears and vanishes quickly just before the Hydralisk cut in the StarCraft trailer, so he  "abused" the screenshot key and finally found what was it.

ID Software is the company behind Quake 4 and according to this exclusive discovery it may turn out to be also a Blizzard partner...So far there was no word from Blizz HQ. What is their role in the creation of the game and what does a RTS game has to do with e FPS developer is still a mystery.

GameReplays.org reports another interesting find, that could be a possible Easter egg, rather than a hidden message: "Along the same lines as the ID Software logo, in another movie if you go frame by frame you will find a picture of Dustin Browder, Lead Designer for Starcraft 2 as well as a shot of the whole development team at Blizzard."
