It takes incredible unhuman effort just to survive in the Korean pro-gaming scene nowadays. You think big paychecks, numerous female fans and the fame can make up for the 10+ hours of gaming a day and the lack of any personal life? Now think about all those MMORPG addicts who play the same amount of time and they too abandon their personal life, though their efforts are not rewarded at all. No crazy fans sending them cuddly toys, and most of all instead of getting paid, they pay to play.

It appears that there are people who actually care (as strange it may sound). Those people are ... Blizzard employees. Well you do realize that almost all 9 million subscribers are way too busy playing online, though there are few, that have some time to run their own fansites. It's a delicate balance - good players eventually become pros, while the really "noobish" players...get nice presents from Blizzard. Enjoy !
