Recently in my college I had managed to screen a movie known as "American Psycho". Am sure many of you'll know it, especially for its gruesome murder sequences and its threesome. I distinctly remember the amount of people we started out, something around 15-20 in class bravely agreed to wait back, not knowing what it would be about. I was 100% sure I wanted these guys to see it, considering the amount of movies they are exposed too. Nonetheless at the end of it only 8 of us managed to finish it.

Many of the girls were pretty scandalized by the movie and they didn't like the movie a bit. As expected. So why did I screen it anyway? Well its because to just give an insight into how greedy and how ghastly man can become. It is not reality I know, but it is an interesting insight into the psyche of humanity.

Another movie that fits the bill is "A Clockwork Orange" by Kubrick, a true classic, but a bit over-rated. The premise is about a guy who indluges in a lot of violence and how he beats the system and eventually goes scott free, does it anger you or does it not? Of course it does, but if you take a look at it closely you will realize that there is a possibility to beat any system.

Thats all the protoganist / antagonist manages to do in the Kubrick film and does it in style, all the while listening to Beethoven.

The point I am making here is none, there is no point in me telling you some observations, but merely to show you a view as to how different human beings can get. Life and its inhabitants aren't always about good and rosy things, there are certain grim realities in life. Serial killers think in a very different way and if they weren't so troubled in the head they would actually make brilliant and creative people in anything they would do.

This is just a sort of an introduction to a 2 or 3 part series I wanted to undertake about how people are.

I for one was quite touched by the works of Edgar Allen Poe, he is credited with being the father of the short story style of writing. His thoughts are disturbing and yet real in his head, and if you can open up your mind it could make sense to you too.

Just think about it, I will go in detail in the next parts and hopefully try and find a new way of thinking, rather than aiming for an exact style of thinking lets find a broader perpespective to focus on.
