Nightelve vs. Human Guide ----- Introduction: ----- Hi guys, In this Guide I will tell you some counter Tactics to the usual Human tactics and the best Hero combos for Nightelve. Personally I think that Human is a very hard Matchup for the Nightelve Player. I don’t know why but it’s really hard to counter the Tier2 push and its no fun to play vs. mass Towers :) ----- The Human Tactics: ----- Well, Human has 5 main strategies: 1: Archmage /Naga or Mountain King on Tier 2 and mass caster, maybe with mortars and expand 2: Archmage /NAGA or Mountain King and Rifler/Caster push on Tier2 with Towers 3: Archmage / Mountain King /Paladin and Tier 3 for Knights, Mortars with upgrade and Priests with Inner Fire 4: Archmage/Mountain King and MANY Towers and expands and mass Tanks/Gyros and Gryphon’s/Knights in late game 5: Towerrush ----- The Nightelve Tactics ----- Nightelve has 2 main strategies: 1: Demon Hunter/Naga or Panda with Hunts or Archers and Dryads/Bears 2: Dark Ranger or Demon hunter/Naga or Panda Nightelve is very variable with the Hero’s, for example you can play Beastmaster and Firelord as first Hero or Single Warden or Keeper and Panda... there are so many Hero combos for Nightelve but I think the best combos are: 1: Demon Hunter and Naga 2: Demon Hunter and Panda 3: Beastmaster and Panda 4: Beastmaster and Naga 5. Beastmaster and Firelord 6: Dark Ranger and Naga 7: Dark Ranger and Panda 8: Dark Ranger and Firelord 9: Single Panda 10: Single Warden 11: Single Beastmaster 11 Hero combos, I think that are the best and I will explain later in this Guide why they are the best and when you can use them. ----- Mass Caster and Mortars ----- How can I see that he go for this Tactic? On Tier 2 he build 2 Arcane Sanctum and maybe Workshop. Let’s start with the first Tactic from the Human. The Human will start with an Archmage and some Footies and Tech to Tier 2. Its always good to harass the Human in the early game, you can kill him Militias if he creep Merc Camp or so of maybe kill Waterelements, Footies . IMPORTANT: Always buy Boots of Speed. You can kill is hero, kill red foots who run away and so on! . So he play Mass Caster, that means he wont build Rifler so you can build 2 or 3 Hunts to harass him better and kill him much foots when you get your second Hero. Some important things now vs. this Tactic: 1: Always scout for expand, Humans like to expand at Tier 2, take care that you Hero doesn’t get surround when you Hero is slowed by sorceress or Bolt from Mountain King. 2: Harass him with Dryads! On Tier 2 he doesn’t have a good counter to Dryads, so you can kill his unarmored Caster, Dispel his Waterelements and kill his worker who build the Workshop (when he build it) 3: Staff! Always buy this Staff to save your Hero’s and Units. Give your Staff from Hero to Hero so you have lesser cooldown. Those are 3 very important things vs. this Tactic. When your harass him with Dryads Tech to Tier 3 and build Bears (you should have an mix 60% Dryads and 40% Bears). In fights you Bears block the Dryads. When you play Demon Hunter and Naga you focus his Archmage with your Hero’s and with the Dryads you kill his Mortars first if he have one and focus his Caster (Sorceress, Priest). And really always scout for expand Well, that’s the main things vs. this Tactic. ----- Tier 2 Push with Rifler, Caster and maybe Towers ----- And the next Tactic, the Human will start with Archmage and some Footies and Tech to Tier2. He will go creep and build a Blacksmith for Rifler. On Tier 2 he will add and Mountain King or Naga and he will build an Arcane Sanctum. It’s very important that you play a good early game. So try to kick him much Footies harass his Peasants etc... He will Push you at Tier 2 so build a Ancient Protector. The base building is very important here in my opinion. (click here to enlarge) (click here to enlarge) (click here to enlarge) Build many Dryads and Tech to Tier 3, always focus out his Rifler and Priest and build 2 Bears for Rejuvenation to heal your Hero’s and don’t forget to buy Staff (build Shop at Tier 2) If he go with Towers just build another Ancient Protector and unroot the Ancient of War. Focus the Towers with your Archers. So that’s the main points vs. this tactic I think . ----- Tier 3 with 3 Hero’s and Knights, Mortars ----- How can I see that he go for this Tactic? He will straight Tech to Tier 3. On Tier 2 he will build 1 Arcane Sanctum and 1 Workshop. Many Nightelve players call this Tactic “Imba”. Well, it depends. In Late Game this Tactic is VERY hard but the Human is very weak in the Mid Game. The Human will start with Archmage and Footies like always. And like always you should harass him, try to kill Footies and so on – just like before. With your second Hero you should make a go. Focus his Hero’s and try to kick his Footies, Farms and other buildings. You can make very much damage in this Time because he has nearly nothing. If he makes Militia focus them, then he will have a wood problem on Tier 3. Now you should have a big disadvantage (Tier 3, Bears and Hero Levels). In fights you Bears should attack the Knights (always use wisps in fights to Dispel Inner Fire!), with Dryads you run in Mortars and kill them. With the Hero’s you focus the Mortars too and not the Hero’s because the Mortars do really much damage to bears with the Upgrade. You should upgrade the Bears (Armor, Damage) vs. this Tactic and like always. Scout for expand and don’t forget Staff! (click here to enlarge) ----- ”The Lame” ----- How can I see that he go for this Tactic? He will make a Fastexe, mass Tower and build 3 or 4 Workshops. I think I don’t have to tell you much here just some important things. The Human will play Archmage and Footies (woho!) and Mountain King as second Hero. He will make a Fastexe witch you have to harass (and scout :D). He will build many Towers so you can’t really harass his Base and when his expansion is up you can’t harass there too because the towers. So the only thing you can do is building and expand too. Another important point: don’t let him get a second expand, and always have 1 more expand (if he has 1 you have 2, if he has 2 you have 3) When you see the Tanks build MANY Ancient of Wars around your expand and main Base and some Archers and Hero with Orb (Panda do a good here btw :D ) vs. the Gyros. Always scout his main Base, maybe he will switch to Gryphon’s, then you have to build Hyporaider and Dryads/Bears. ----- Towerrush ----- How can I see that he go for this Tactic? He will make build a lumber mill and run with Militia in your base. And the last Human Tactic. I just tell you some important things here. If he Towerrush you, you need to build mass Ancient of Wars and Archers and many Moonwells. You can say for each tower an Ancient of War. If you use Demon Hunter skill Immolation first and kill his Peasants. If you skilled Manaburn before focus his Archmage that he is on low HP and focus his Peasants then. Focus his Tower when they are near ready. When you countered the Towerrush watch out for expands. Humans like to expand after a failed Towerrush. That’s it. ----- The Hero Combos ----- At the beginning I told that I will write something about the 11 Hero combos. Let’s start with the first. Demon Hunter and Naga It’s the most used Hero combo. You can kill his hero’s very good and focus out some units but Naga is very Low HP Hero so always have a potion on her and a Staff on Demon Hunter. Demon Hunter and Panda This combo is really often used too. You is very useless until he reached Level 3. Then he is a real killer :D. He is very good vs. Rifler and Caster because his AoE (Area of Effect) damage is amazing. Beastmaster and Panda With the Beastmaster you should creep. He is very good vs. Towerrush and the Hawk is good vs. Mortars and Footies. You can use him very good with mass Dryads and early expand. But you cant really make an early go because Panda is very weak until he is Level 3. Beastmaster and Naga Same like before but you can expand and then make go with Naga and focus out some Units and build expand meanwhile. Beastmaster and Firelord Summons on mass!. Use this Combo on small Maps. You can kill him so much with all these summons and harass his economy. Dark Ranger and Naga The best combo in my opinion. Dark Ranger is very good in the early game (creep, kill Footies,..). With Naga second you can make a go and kill him all his Footies and Militia so you can win in like 9 Minutes. If he hold this go you can make another go witch you build all the Time. As I said, the best combo in my opinion. Dark Ranger and Panda Good combo too, in big fights you have a good AoE damage, with “Silence” you can counter the Caster and you get many summons. Dark Ranger and Firelord Its like Beastmaster and Firelord, but you have the Dark Ranger and not the Beastmaster summons :D. Single Panda Single Panda is very strong. You can play it with mass Hunts or the normal Dryads/Bears mix. When he reached Level 5 he’s just WOW. Single Warden Only Good Lost Temple in my opinion, but here she’s very good. Good Hero Killer in early game and good to harass expands in late game. Single Beastmaster Yep single Beastmaster! He’s very string when you play it with Fast expansion and then Ferries Dragons, Dryads and Mountain Giants. When he reached Level 5 and you have the Bear Level 3 or the Hawk Level 3 you have very Strong summons and at Level 6 a good ultimate. ------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow I will add a Replay Pack and some more pictures..
