When I have finally quited Counter-Strike(next blog) I started playing WC3. For about 6-7 months of extreme lag(2 corrupted police officers watching porn in the net caffe with 40x netscapes) I was able to get on somewhat above average level. Had some knowledge of the game and after my main rival(Ice Cube) decided to quit the game without the chance of me to win him at least once(-_-) I was the second best player. Even thought there weren't many other players...there was one master of disaster. During one of my first small organized tournaments he came. And everyone wanted to see me play versus him. And rules were simple bo3(or bo1, not sure), single elimination and drawings being made by the net caffe owner, the impossible hapend - we were drawned at first round. I don't denie the fact that it was more than imporant to win my game - not only for advancing in to round, but proving to everyone and above all myself that my hundrets of hours of training have payed out. First map was Plunder Isle - NE mirror. During that time only thing I could play in mirror, mostly because I liked the extreme need of micro, was Potm +hunts from 2 rax. Lucky or not he decided to play the same. The pressure kept going higher because in ladder my stats vs NE mirror was something like 15-0 only in Potm mirrors and during that time this was pretty big for me. This practically was the battle for the "eternal king of the city". All my friends were cheering me up, even though I was very scared, because this same person was my main BW rival - in every series of 3 or 4 games I needed the best of luck to take game, you can understand what this means. Moreover I remember when once he came in to a nightlan(when I was still playing human) and he said friendly: let's play and i said okay no problems. We started the battle with 1-0,1-1(both got really angry after our first loss), then 2-1,2-2... and the before the last 5th game we were so angry that we could start a fight(really sad picture). The 5th game ended in my favour so all he did is hit the keyboard and left. Back to reality the game was one. I was sitting in the small room ot the net caffe(place for 6 PCs) and 7/10 who knew from gaming and was my friend were they - right behind me.

I was in the top spot he was in the down. Normal start wich from me heading for altar+well and a huntress build order from 2 rax. Exactly when my wisp scouted his base and i saw that he is playing the same strategy - just micro and skills. We made a some minor fights with solo Potm and a few hunts nothing big. In the middle of the game we had a good amount of hunts(somewhere around 10-11) and both had lvl3 potm. The last thing I remember and I will never forget is the final battle - my key to freedom from the eternal second place, eternal "another-player". The final battle was extremely hard and I was very even more nervous. Both had incredible micro - hunts in, hunts out, balistas firing at the damaged hunts, use of scrools and YES FINALLY the victory was in front of my eyes. I was able to overcome such a great barrier for me at that time. Defeating my harderst fear came true. When he wrote GG and left the game all my friends were shouting for me and applaud me. After I relaxed for some seconds and finally took of my headset one of my friends said: dude chill you didn't lose unit, you totally made fun out of him. And I could thing was : "damn I did it, I made it". I also remembe his face very sad, but still stayed on level and said that I played very well. After this glorious(for me) victory I was very calm in the next rounds of the tournament. Its true that the players weren't that experienced compared to me, but it was much easier playing happy. And from this day I was able to call myself King of the City. But never, ever used that to insult someone or to make fun of some of the other players(if I did I apologize) and never used this to make a biger name on myself. I've never stoped respecting those who are above me, because I wanted the same respect from the players on top of me.

"Don't do, what you don't what to be done on you."

This for me was one of the best moment in life, not because I managed to win something, but because, back then, I was able to feel what REAL support means to the sportsman - power, motivation and desire to go on. KEEP FIGHTING!

My graitest moment was at WCG 2003 estonia when i managed to pull off a bm+chimera vs mass siege. ACtually i jsut didnt know how to play vs that strat so at that point i thought since chimeras do siege damage to building they will do the same to tanks. Man was i ever mistaken, especially i though if quiting when he made the upgraid to attack air. Good thing it was GW with a health pool, and i was smart enaugh to make glaive's. But the game was soooo long!
