Turtle rock, Gostop picks a DK and makes a rather fast tech while going for fiends. xiaOt sticks with the standard Fs and grunts tactic. Once reaching tier2 Gostop techs straight for tier3 and adds a Lich to his army, consisting of a few fiends, while xiaOt trains a Tc and sets up 2 beastiaries. xiaOt starts on massing kodo’s to take out the fiends and some batriders to handle the destroyers.
By great use of shades Gostop is able to keep an eye on his opponent at all times, which gives him some creep advantages since he does not have to worry about being creep jacked while clearing a red spot.
xiaOt sets up an expo but unfortunately does Gostop’s shade locate it and he takes it down. Afterwards he launches an attack on the orcish base and after a small fight he nukes both orc hero’s and takes the game. 

Maelstrom, GoStop starts off with a fiend build and a DK while Tiger picks a DH and a huntress build. Tiger’s DH tries to harass GoStop as much as possible while his tech is going on. Once reaching tier2 Tiger puts up 2 ancient of lore and techs straight for tier3. GoStop, on the other hand, adds a Lich and a slaughter house before teching for tier3.
By extremely skilful use of Wand of Mana stealing GoStop managed to kill a fleeing DH with a coil. At tier3 Tiger adds a Pandaren Brewmaster and start massing bears and dryads, while GoStop trains a Cryptlord and get himself some shades around the map.
Both players creep a lot and here the shades prove themselves useful as GoStop managed to get a creep jack on Tiger and force a tp. Afterwards GoStop launches an attack on a newly build expansion of Tiger. The army of Tiger rushes in to try and stop the undead army, but the bears and dryads were butchered by the massive fiends, destroyer and tri hero army, Gostop takes another win.

Nighthaven, xiaOt chooses a Blademaster as his first hero and accompanied by some grunts he sets off for an early harassment. Tiger starts out with a DH and archers and techs for the common mass dott’s. xiaOt manages to take out a couple of wisp while Tiger techs before he is forced to retreat. At tier 2 both players adds a new hero to their army. xiaOt trains a Shadow Hunter while Tiger picks up a Beast master at the tavern.
After some creeping and minor battles Tiger hits tier3 and while training master dott’s he picks up another hero at the tavern, a Tinker. xiaOt, still at tier2, begins to mass demolishers to try and counter the huge amount of dott’s who are under the control of Tiger.
Tiger is able to set up an unnoticed expo at the 6 o’clock position which gives him a big advantage. At last both players meets at the centre of the map, but after a nice battle the mass cyclone forces xiaOt to retreat with low hit points on both his hero’s. xiaOt then attempts one last attack on the base of Tiger, but a 20 food disadvantage proved to be to much for xiaOt who lost the game, and by that the chance to proceed further in WEG Season III.
