The Warcraft 3 players are divided into 3 different groups with 4 players in each. They will play against each player in their group, and the winner and runner-up in each will proceed in the tournament. The format is, as always, a BO1, which means that they will only play one map against each other, a format that many believe to be stupid and to luck-based.
and without further ado I'll bring you the groups:
Group A
Moon
wNv.xiaOt
GG18Wolf
verGe_Boo
The defending Champion and winner of WEG Season 1, Spirit_Moon, are located inside group A. He is a major favourite for the WEG Season 3 title and it would be a huge surprise if he didn't come further in the tournament. The second spot available in this group is much more open. xiaOt knows how it's like to play under the circumstances of WEG, which might turn out to be too much for Wolf and Boo to handle.
Group B
Mouz.BenQ.GoStop
SK.ElakeDuck
Fnatic.SaSe
Qch[ATI]GoHome
A rather open group B. GoStop is clearly a favourite for a spot but players like ElakeDuck and SaSe are not to be trifled with. And then there is the unknown GoHome. Im looking forward to see how he'll perform under the massive pressure of the WEG arena.
Group C
T.MH]Lucifer
WE.Sweet
mTw-DIDI8
WE.Tiger
What a kick-ass group. Two players from World Elite (WE), our very own Lucifer and one of the better European Nightelves DIDI8. Only two spots are available and Lucifer and Sweet is, as I see it, the two favourites to book them.
