InCruit OGN StarLeague *Grand Finals*

OSL

As usual, another edition of the well established StarCraft competition in Korea called Korea, South OnGameNet StarLeague or more typicallly known as OSL is back. As myMYM has already mentioned earlier, this gaming event is being sponsored by Incruit, a famous employment website that is based at Korea. This season’s event qualifiers started on July 29th and they are still ongoing.

An interesting issue one should take note is the tournament format change. Instead of the traditional ODT style, there will be a Round of 36. It will consist of 12 unseeded players from the last OnGameNet Starleague and 24 new players who have qualified through offline tournaments.

A total of 12 groups will be constructed in the Round of 36. A pair of offline qualifiers and a player from last season’s OnGameNet StarLeague event will fill up each of those groups. Initially, those 2 players from the offline qualifiers will take on each other in a best of 3 games and the survivor from that match will proceed to face the previous StarLeague qualifier also in a best of 3 games to decide who tops the group. The winner will then move on to the Round of 16 to have a fighting chance together with the top 4 seeded players from EVER OSL 2008 of becoming this season’s OnGameNet StarLeague champion. The 4 seeded players are Zerg JulyZerg, Protoss BeSt, Zerg Luxury and Protoss BackHo.

Just to refresh one’s memory, Park Sung Jun a.k.a. JulyZerg, the old school player from STX Soul was the champion of EVER OSL 2008. He defeated the SK Telecom T1 up and coming Protoss player BeSt with a superb three to zero victory in the grand finals that also saw him receive the Golden Mouse and thus carved his name into the history books as one of the most successful players in the OnGameNet Starleague, along with Lee Yoon Yeol a.k.a NaDa.

well i was gonna expect you to consider me witty since i answered two different comments with the same answer ha-ha i'm so smart :|
anyways, let's see what i can do for you:

we've got flash, forgg, stork and quite possibly yellow[arnc] as main contenders right? forgg is overrated, with an msl won cause of the maps, stork got his monster macro in pvt and pvp back and yellow[arnc] is in the list simply because there is no other zerg that seems better than him in this OSL. sure, we have july and luxury, but they're already seeded.

the thing is that flash is starting to get rusty or burnt out so he's about to be eliminated once he meets a real opponent. forgg has already been raped by much and yarnc has midas and hero (read: easy group).

i only regret not seeing jaedong this season cause he would most likely take this, since flash is going down. i'd say either luxury or stork can take this atm but who knows...

I'll be nicer when you're smarter.
