The 3rd day matches were definitely interesting, or at least 2 of them:
NaDa got smashed earlier by
JangBi with some of the most beautiful psi storms ever => people want to see if NaDa (who is obviously the one most of us cheered for) can pay him back. The second interesting game was definitely the one between the OGN twins,
Yellow[ArnC] and
Luxury.
| Week 2 Day 1 | ||||
| Group | Player 1 | Player 2 | Map | |
| A | By.Flash | > | Rock | Othello |
| B | Jangbi | < | Nada | Andromeda |
| C | Yellow[AnrC] | < | Luxury | Hwarangdo |
| D | BackHo | < | InteR.Mind | Troy |
The game between
Flash and
Rock was quite predictable, and the expected outcome was there: Rock tried to win a game against the best player in the world right now, and his Carriers, as usual, were his salvation. Well not this time, Rock, not this time.
The second game was definitely a test for
NaDa, because he showed some good results lately, but not enough to make him look back in shape. However, the score pleased any NaDa fan, because after this game,
JangBi was basically considered lucky back then when he defeated the Genius Terran.
The match between the Zerg twins from OGN Sparkyz was pretty tense: both
Yellow[ArnC] and
Luxury are masters of the ZvZ match-up, they both train a lot, so this was a 50-50 match. In the end, the fake Yellow just couldn’t handle it, so Luxury is now the better twin in the family.
BackHo made a name for himself when he defeated
Jaedong, so
Mind was supposed to be a rather equal opponent (skill wise, Jaedong is considered to be way above BackHo). The game was quite good, but Mind’s mechanics and solid build orders were simply above BackHo and this was a good example of a simple win by outplaying your opponent.
