As many predicted before the games, Stork the Protoss player who's been having the most stable form this year, won his group with two absolute victories over Free and HwaSin. Although he lost his first game to Iris' aggressive style, he did better in the last two games, making a clear path through the group.

Iris's winning over the king of PvT, Stork, was amazing. That made him looking more confident in the game against HwaSin. However, HwaSin is the one with best TvT record out there, so Iris couldn't win that game and needed to win his last one against Free to have a slot in the quarterfinal. Fianally, he passed.
