myMYM ANNOUNCES THE NEXT EDITION OF THE WORLDS LARGEST DOTA TOURNAMENT:
SENNHEISER Prime Defending #9
The highly famous and biggest online DotA-Tournament in the world is back and ready to take it to the next - 9th - round. The sign-ups are now open for you to register! Gather your team of five or more and be a part of this worldwide event filled with major battles, intriguing skirmishes and breathtaking duels as myMYM in cooperation with SENNHEISER Communications brings you the 9th Edition of Prime Defending!
Every team that wants to participate in the tournament may feel free to sign up - the team's registration doesn't even cost anything!
The signups will be open until Sunday, 20th of January 23:59 CEST.
After 8 editions of Prime Defending tournaments, the DotA crew has decided to update the tournament format, so: the top16 contenders now have equal chances to win the title. Unlike previous tournaments, the playoff stage will now consist of bo1 games in a double elimination setup.
Tournament system:
* there will be a qualifier for each continent. The games will be played within 4 playdays. Match format is bo1, single elimination.
* top8 ranked teams from each qualifier goes in playoff's preliminaries, match format: bo1, single elimination.
* 16 teams will qualify from the preliminaries for the playoff stage.
The match format will be bo1, double elimination, till only 4 teams are left. Then the match format changes to bo3, double elimination.
* finals will be bo3, the team that comes from the Winner Bracket starts with a 1-0 advantage.

| All teams must meet up in the channel #MYM.PriDe on IRC Quakenet. IRC is necessary since there are so many teams, and there is not room for so many people on a Battle.net channel, so make sure that you get IRC working before the tournament. Also you must remember to stay on IRC at all times, so we can keep in contact. If a team stops responding on IRC then it may recieve a default loss.
