Alternate and Aurora

On this page you can read the interviews with Germany Julie (picture by fragster.de) from Team Alternate and Denmark sANDiE from Aurora-Gaming. In the next two days, four more interviews will be published.

Please give us a short introduction about you and your team.
Alternate|Julie: Hej, my name is Julia as known as Julie and I'm actually playing for team Alternate attax. We are a German Counter-Strike female team and our next event will be the LAN in Poland.AURORA|sANDiE: My name is Sandy, 20 years old and been playing for Aurora-Gaming for just a little over 1 year. The team consists of Juliebabz, Vildkatten, Cazzidy, who recently replaced NissePigen due to her working, and Ninnzan for the Poland lineup, since Eliza won't be able to go either.
What are your goals for the event?
Of course our goal is to win this event! We changed our lineup two weeks ago and we are now top motivated to finally be able to play as the best team. Our goal is to do our very best, which hopefully will be at least a top three!
How much did you prepare and how do you rate your current strength?

Last days we played a lot. And at the moment we feel very strong. Of course there were some difficulties because we have a new player known as IAMLOCO but it worked very well. She is a nice and good player and she completes the team with her composure. With her motivation we are looking forward to the next events.

We are praccing full time at the moment, all the hours we possibly can, which we also really need since this lineup only was formed a few days ago - so we need to go through loads of stuff. Even though we haven't had the time to prac as much as many other teams, we still feel quite secure on our skills and strength.
Which teams might be the hardest opponents and why?
Hm. I can't really tell you which team is the hardest. Of course Pink Zinic is very strong and we want to beat them after the GamesCom Final! We know after the GamesCom that it isn't easy to win versus a team with a lot of experience and good female players. I hope there will be no bad surprises against a few teams which we had not played in the past.Hardest opponent; well, many good teams will be attending, so we guess only time will tell.
Does it make any difference for you playing online or offline?
I think between online and offline is a big difference. When you play at home it is quite and pleasant. Especially you can't really be that motivated and you just can talk in the voice with your mates. In contrast to an offline event you see all the people around you who can cheer for you and you have your mates next to you that can motivate them and they can motivate you. You can also talk to your opponents (smiles).Yes, very much! For some reason we have always been better offline than online, but we do believe thats a good thing. So we can't wait untill sitting together at LAN again!
Do you fear the Polish Vodka which every one has to drink at the after party?
Haha. Nice question - but I can't really answer it, so we will see what the after party will show us (smiles). So I hope it will be a funny and exited event to be with all the girls. See ya in Poland ladies!

Haha. We are never afraid of Vodka! (laughs) We would like to thank everyone supporting us for the great backup. It wouldn't be the same without you ppl! And of course the best sponsors in the world: AuroraGroup, Razer, Speed-Link, TDK, Sitecom and A-Style!

Coming tomorrow: Interviews with Pink Zinic and Mascara!
