With Markus 'zet' Sundstrom stepping in, his former team SK Gaming managed to win EM III Global Challenge LA, place second at EM III Global Challenge Montreal, 5th-6th at EM III Global Challenge Dubai, followed by a 5th-6th finish at World e-Sports Masters.

Now Sundstrom joined together with former Begrip players the powerhouse of Meet Your Makers - time for an interview done by Albert 'w067000' Wang and Jonas 'The1Crow Gebhardt to bring light into the past and take a look at his planes for the future.

Hello, zet. SK Gaming were looking to replace you prior to the event at Gamescom and the fact that you missed your flight didn't play in the whole issue, can you confirm this?

I don't know if they had been talking about it before Gamescom but it's possible. If they did think about it before Gamescom, me missing the plane probably made their choice easier.

Concerning the fact that I missed my flight: I overslept, I put my alarm clock and I didn't wake up untill it was too late. I went to Arlanda to get a flight but couldn't get a flight that would make it. Incredibly bad of me, something I really regret. It felt like I let my 4 guys down a lot, and of course SK. But my teammates didn't hold it against me at least which was a big relief.

Loosing two straight maps to Begrip at IOL Final 4 following a disappointing performance at WCG Sweden which means losing to two national rivals within one month is really frustrating. Did you get your motivation back?

Well, we tried to see what went wrong and fix those things. Losing to rivals is allways rough, you just have to learn to deal with it. Maybe think about the games and everything, analyze what went wrong for a day, then just let it go. Just start thinking forward again *smiles*

Did H2k Gaming and Begrip know you too well?

They probably had a good idea how we were going to be playing. Which probably paid off for them good.

How do you rate your personal performances at WCG Sweden and IOL Final 4?

Not close to my expectations, I didn't perform that good in either of them I think. But hopefully well see a turn for the better now!

Did a lack of practice and motivation play a big role in your recent losses?

Not from my part and as a team we played five days a week, I'm allways motivated else I wouldn't play.

Rumor had it that SK Gaming had been practicing with Mattias 'Snajdan' Andersen instead of you prior to Intel Extreme Masters Super Cup, was that true?

I don't think they practiced with snajdan before Germany, but if they did I didn't know.

How big a contribution did you make to SK Gaming since the September of 2008?

Hopefully a lot, it's kinda hard answering that question. But I think that I did my part, and we did have a good run, even though we didn't win it all.

Do you regret playing CGS? Since most of the people insist that the league did diminish your skill, which caused your sub par performances from time to time.

I don't regret playing CGS even though it might have diminished my skill. I really wanted to move to the US and live there, at least for some time. And I had the time of my life. So I cant regret that, and playing CGS was fun as well playing on the TV set and the less good format (max rounds 9) and collecting all points together from all the games. *smiles*

Now you are sporting the tag of MYM with four members from ex-Begrip, the team that beat you at IOL. Why did you choose this team?

I want to play with them because they are four good players, that are hungry and eager to win. They are all new to the international scene so were going to have a blast. Hopefully we will do some real damage.

Did you know the players which you are together in MYM with now before?

Yeah, I have known some of them for many years. And some of them for just a year or so.

What do you think about your teammates?

From what I have seen they are all really talented guys. I've been playing against some of them through the years on internet and various LANs.

MYM has always had issues in the past with Scandinavian teams reaching the highest tiers. Do you think you can break this curse?

Yeah, I totally think we can. We just have to practice hard and make it happen. My personal goal is always top 1, and I really think that with good practice we could be there, but in the upcoming events top 3 would definitely satisfy me.

How does the practice schedule with the new team look at present?

We haven't got started yet beacuse Jimmy 'Jumpy' Berndtsson is in L.A., he will be coming back to Sweden on the 14th of October. And after that I think that we will play 5 days a week.

What are the differences between SK Gaming and the new MYM?

I think that MYM has a lot more hunger and motivation to play, probably a lot of diffrent playing styles as a team.

Do you think you can show promising prospects here? 

I think I will fit in perfect with the mix of players we have. So yes I believe we have good prospects.
