The Fate of the European Group
In what was probably a bad day combined with bad luck, Group C, the European group, after a good start yesterday, lost two clanwars today. At 1pm, they lost 0:4 to Group B, where Sky was on fire. Also Group C had a really bad line-up, putting two nightelves first. I found Happy's game against Sky really entertaining to watch though. Grubby being the last player, was demoralised when the team was already 0:3 and eventually lost too.

The Curse that fell on Group C
Group C played Group A at 7pm. Grubby started playing against Wulin first, and something weird happened that made Grubby lose the game (read the funny story below). Then HoT went up against Wulin and won. HoT played HopeStar next, he forgot his moonwell when he was at 20/20 and also at tier 2. HoT didn't play that good this game and lost. Happy went up next against HopeStar and he was not confident because he didn't practise Undead mirror enough. Omg.. he even forgot his Ziggurat in his starting build order! We wanted to scream out "Build a Zigguratttt!!", but of course we didn't. :) Then suhO nearly saved the group by defeating HopeStar and Th000. Against the last player of their team which was Lyn, suhO went for talons and eventually lost the game. It isn't easy to defeat the nightelf killer Lyn. We want to say that suhO did really great all three games.

The Elimination
Group C:
The fate of Group C (with a score of 1:2 ) is that they will play against each other tomorrow, and two players will be eliminated. Yes, of Grubby, Happy, HoT and suhO - two of them will be eliminated from PGL. That's really sad. You can probably expect PGL to broadcast sad songs again at the scene where they pack up their equipment and leave. :p

Group D:
Group D (with a score of 0:2 ) will suffer the same fate. Two players from their team will likewise get eliminated.  They will play the day after tomorrow though, which is on the 4th Jan, so they will have one more day to prepare. Of LiKE, FoV, Infi and Check - two of them will be eliminated. This is sad as well of course, because they are all great players.

Need both luck and skill to go far in PGL Tournament System
The next two days, we will see the departure of four great players. It's hard seeing them leave so early in the tournament. But that's just how the PGL tournament system is. It's a combination of luck and skill. It's luck whichever team you get drawn into. If your team is good, and gets two wins, the whole team will not get eliminated yet. The team will still play against each other, but two players will move to step 3 (skipping step 2), and two players will play step 2. In step 2, two players will be eliminated out of eight. Funny Story Of The Day
Muddle-head Grubby:
Grubby's game against Wulin was about to start. He did his set-up, held the hot water bag in his hands to warm them, exchanged jackets with suhO, made sure everything was right and started the game. At 2 minutes 10 seconds into the game, he paused the game because he felt something was really wrong about his mouse, but he wasn't sure what it was. So he thought maybe it was the mouse pad. Maybe he took the wrong mouse pad. We are both using the exact same mouse pad - Steelseries S&S - which is a hard pad, and Grubby thought he preferred the more worn-out one perhaps. So I ran back to the room, took the other mouse pad on the table and quickly passed it to him (luckily the event venue is in the hotel, just two levels difference).
Stilll, there was something very wrong with his mouse. When he was putting down his burrow, his mouse pointer was going left and right, and in battles he couldn't micro. We had no idea what's wrong as well. No one knew, not suhO, not HoT, not Happy. All of us saw that something wasn't right, but none of us could offer any advice on what could be wrong.
After the game, he decided to investigate. Happy said he installed his mouse drivers on the PC, and checked if Grubby forgot to delete it. It was deleted, so that's not it. We opened the windows mouse configurations window and found that his mouse acceleration was on! LOL! You should have seen his face at that moment! He was very regretful about such a mistake on his part, but what can you do afterwards?
Grubby about the mistake: I can only laugh about it now.
