"In my first few years of pro-gaming, I did not display any trophies except the checks that I brought home. On my mother's urging or by myself I'd leave them in the living room for a few days for visitors to gawk at. I felt that if I gave them a fixed place in my room or in the house... just by looking at them it would give me a feeling of accomplishment, which would not make me as hungry to fight for a next title or tournament. So I stored trophies in boxes and medals in drawers.
Now that I'm older I feel somehow different. Seeing my trophies fulfills me with a sense of pride for what I do, and ambition to perform the same or even greater feats. They also give me the power to believe in myself. Now that the window sills are starting to get cluttered with trophies, statues and awards, I feel that it should be time for a third cabinet soon. One thing you guys might not know about glass cabinets is that they are very hungry. Ive been watching Grubby for several years now and you never really realize all that he has accomplished over the years until you see it layed out before you like this. For lack of better words its simply amazing. This article was a great read thank you for that Cassandra. Grubby will have no problem filling up a third cabinet and starting on a fourth by the end of 2009.
