Grubby, the e-Sports star at WCG 2008

Grubby winning WCG for the second time.
Being the only progamer in the world who has both ESWC and WCG titles, Grubby is arguably the most accomplished Warcraft III player.
You want to watch the videos and interviews from WCG again? Here are the links:
Let's end this article with words from
Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen himself:
Quoting
MYM]Grubby:
"In my first few years of pro-gaming, I did not display any trophies except the checks that I brought home. On my mother's urging or by myself I'd leave them in the living room for a few days for visitors to gawk at. I felt that if I gave them a fixed place in my room or in the house... just by looking at them it would give me a feeling of accomplishment, which would not make me as hungry to fight for a next title or tournament. So I stored trophies in boxes and medals in drawers.
Now that I'm older I feel somehow different. Seeing my trophies fulfills me with a sense of pride for what I do, and ambition to perform the same or even greater feats. They also give me the power to believe in myself. Now that the window sills are starting to get cluttered with trophies, statues and awards, I feel that it should be time for a third cabinet soon. One thing you guys might not know about glass cabinets is that they are very hungry. They have a huge yearning to be full and it is my yearning to fill up a third cabinet for the year 2009, starting now."

I might have missed out numerous "LAN Achievements" from year 2003 - 2006. It's not easy to find records/recall the tournaments from a few years back. Perhaps if any of you kind guys found anything that I missed out, please let me know and I'll add it to the list. Thanks! :)

Ive been watching Grubby for several years now and you never really realize all that he has accomplished over the years until you see it layed out before you like this. For lack of better words its simply amazing. This article was a great read thank you for that Cassandra. Grubby will have no problem filling up a third cabinet and starting on a fourth by the end of 2009.

Grubby, such an amazing, accomplished pro-gamer. The idols of some and also the envy of others. Regardless, the way he has stayed in the scene for so long and achieved so much is truly remarkable. The trophies themselves really shows how amazing he really is. :D
Maybe I never really followed through your career, but what you are is what I once dreamt of becoming. lewl Yes, I envy you Grubbster :D Good luck in 2009! May more victories march towards you. :)

Reached #1 of the Solo Ladder on all four Battlenet gateways
Reached #1 of the FFA Ladder on Battlenet Northrend Reached #1 of the RT Ladder on Battlenet Northrend Id like to see screenshots or some proof of the first 2 mostly the 2nd one. Not that I don't think grubby is amazing but Ive seen replays of him vs nLine, magadansky, etc the FFA kings of Northrend and they play a much better FFA then him.

How did you feel about this WC3L? Did you like the format and the group stage? Yes the format is ok even though this way you don't play against all the teams as you did on the other seasons. ...
