Jaco van Dijk, also known as
Lloth, recently left the German organization nGize together with his players and continous under the name of
Praetoriani. myMYM.com interviewed him and asked Lloth, before the new home will be revealed this week, about the financial problems in nGize, the future for his players and "overpaid Koreans".
Hello Lloth, not so long time ago we heard about your team left nGize.FPS. What was the reason of that step?
The main reason was that we didn't fit their profile. Our team didn't reach their expectations when it came to marketing and PR and in the results where slacking in their eyes.
As our anonymous informant said, there were problems with money. Players didn’t get their fees.
Few months ago we had problems with our budget mainly because of a bonus system we had, the more we won the more bonuses we gave away. A while ago we had a very successful month, together with some unexpected expenses, which led to a lot of pressure on our budget however we are well underway and my players are well informed with it. For the next year my players got a new salary as well as a new bonus on top of that to avoid problems in the future.
What expectations did the nGize.FPS management have? Top8 in WC3L and good individual results are nice achievements.
Well that’s a huge question mark for me as well. When they contacted me that they wanted to bring in some changes I heard some new things that really surprised me. However I won’t go to deep into those details because there are some guys in nGize who I have great respect for and I don't want to harm in any way.
Where was the problem and reason of your leave - nGize or the players’ weak shape?
Well I rather keep that to myself however the relation between my players, me and nGize was too damaged to continue any cooperation.
It's nothing new. Few months ago you left PGS as well. It seems like you and your players are problematic and can't find an agreement with any organisation.
PGS was a different story because they wanted to focus more on Polish players and the Polish scene, where we as international players and team didn't fit in anymore. With nGize it was more or less that they want to change their marketing strategy.

| LiiLD.C will follow Lloth in the new team |
As we can see, former nGize, without LiiLD.C who is still there, changed back to their old team name. When will you decide to pick a new organisation?
By now LiiLD.C should have joined Praetoriani (my former team back 3 years ago) and later this week or next week we will join our new organisation. (The interview has been made before Christmas)
Do you have any interesting offers already?
We had several offers however we picked the most stable and professional one. However it did took us a lot of effort in finding a team, but in the end the search paid of.
The Warcraft scene seems to part with team clan wars. For now your team has four players, soon five, while only 1-2 or two are good enough to give team interesting individual achievements. Will we see some changes in roster?
When we join the new organisation we will join another league and several players in that organisation will be combined with our team.
It will be a merge? It looks strange, while most teams decide to pick just few players and focus on individual tournaments.
We don't have overpaid Koreans in our roster.
Koreans are overpaid? They are a strong point in almost every team.
Strong in marketing when they don’t speak a word English? Strong when there are 10 good Korean players but only 2-3 get invited? For European teams to even start with Korean players is stupid when you don’t know the scene or any marketing in Asia.
You know it well?
No, that’s why I won’t invite Korean players in my roster even if they are the best; on top of that some players ask a sick bunch of money they are not worth.
What if they are good enough to beat any of your players?
I rather work with people I can talk to and don't sleep when I come online.

| KnOfF and DC are the key players in Prae |
You're in good relationship with your players. You understand them, but they are not playing as well as organisation wants to. Not good enough achievements were reason of nGize left. Explanation?
Not only the achievements, nGize reviewed us and what they think to get out of it and they feel it’s not to their satisfaction. So they decided to take a different approach.
So how would you like, if you could, change our scene to make it more attractive?
Well I am not that constructive but if it where up to me I would make sure Blademaster would be nerfed and make sure Orcs have to try different strategies to get a win. Change the maps more often. And I wouldn't change a system that was played for years with success and changed because some bigger teams have problems keeping their players.
But it seems that it's not profitable enough. Maybe it's the first step to Warcraft's death?
Well up until now all these negative talks and articles about WC3 dying are not really helping; it only brings forth the Apocalypse even faster. If the teams exist, the tournaments stay and the players keep on training like they do now, will it die fast? The only problem I see now is teams getting rid of the players who got a ridiculous salary in the first place, which I find quite normal because the prize money for those salaries are to little, therefore cutting back is more then normal.
Where do we go now then?
Give it time and see what happens. Many people are saying that WC3 will die when SC2 comes, but SC2 is still far away so stop even making excuses that WC3 will die and just wait until that day comes so we can all close WC3 peacefully in our hearts.
Is it possible to stop those destructive changes?
Waiting and doing nothing won't help. Indeed, as long as people are willing to invest money into WC3 and the scene everything is going well.
But it can change drastically. For example: new WC3L system. It won't be that attractive as it was. The community (observers) couldn’t be satisfied.
We don't know that yet. There are a lot of mixed feelings with WC3L changing their system, however how that will turn out is yet to be seen.
What do you think about idea to increase slots in WC3L?
To make things more interesting they should increase the slots in WC3L, also to give the chance to more semi-pro teams. Also I feel they should add a rule to make sure teams can’t use the same 2 players every match.
Some people say that TOP teams destroyed Warcraft with their "loads of money". Do you agree with this statement?
WC3 isn’t destroyed yet but they had a lot of influences in forcing WC3L to adjust their system.
When do we be able to see whole team in action?
I hope we can do it as fast as possible and release the announcement later this week, if not the week after.
Can you tell us which team?
I can't; however I can tell you that I am proud to have instinct members in my team.
Thanks for this interview. See you around.
