After a long hiatus such as the one I have taken you need to weigh your first few words very carefully. Every word, every syllable is important and will determine if your readers will return to you or abandon you with scorn in their eyes, cursing your name as you curse your own vanity. What does your readers expect and want from you in the first few sentences when returning once more to the grey subspace hidden in the soul of your words?
How will you bring awe, mirth and happiness to the myriad masses in the first trembling seconds of your return? Drawing upon all my knowledge of the arts of writing, of narrative and of analytical ability I have finaly managed to conjure up the perfect phrase for a returning shepherd.
A word to the wise few, the very epitome of the reinstated’s first few words. They read as follows: SUP BIATCHESSS??!!!!11!!!!111
Both the actual qualifier and the aftermath to the WC3L turned out to be a thrillride. For the actual qualifier I’d say the biggest surprise was the french elite team [M] defeating hoorai, and perhaps wNv (a team consistently underperforming online) beating the strenghtened mTw.
Gravitas whom failed to qualify last season this time around managed to go undefeated through the winner brackets which not everyone expected even after their lineup was imbued with finnish necromancy. Several other teams got to take the places of forfeiting teams which will hopefully spice up the league. Let’s move on to todays contestants!
Alternate aTTaX had a strong run the previous season with the german players yAws and dArk taking huge steps forward with Xlord leading the way. DeMuslim steadily improved throughout the season to become the powerful human player he is today.
The season has started badly for aTn though. Whatever is behind their current problems they need to take care of it soon or even the newcomers will be leaving them behind. They were recently by Sase, mr expo-n-dryad himself. Whether this addition will turn out to be a blessing or a curse remains to be seen as he has so far not won any of his matches.
KoD on the other hand got in by pure chance when several powerhouse teams from the previous season collapsed like card houses. It’s tad cliché to say something about how they aren’t to be underestimated, but their players have risen up to great challenges before and it wouldn’t surprise me if they do so again.
Whether it be the brute-forcing strifecro or the constantly innovative Axslav playing no opponent should let their guard down.
