Pro Ladder on Fire!
For the past 2 weeks, most of the professional gamers - in Asia, Europe and USA - have been busy with one thing - Battlenet Pro Ladder Season 6. This is an exciting and fun period for professional gamers as they mass games to climb the pro ladder. The pro ladder season started from 21st July and will conclude on the 8th of August at 9pm CET. In this 10 page article I will focus on Europe pro ladder.
Why do they play the pro ladder?
1. Pro ladder is exclusive to a number of gamers. In Europe for example, 154 players are qualified to play in pro ladder this season. Top 100 of the standard ladder, WC3L players and top 25 from last season's pro ladder are invited to play in pro ladder.
2. It is because of only high-level players on pro ladder that makes it challenging for them to devote more time to it. It is one of the best ways to practice, because of a big variety of good players with all kinds of strategies.
3. Top 6 of the pro ladder will get an invite to go to Spain for the Season 6 Europe Regionals. There, 8 players (top 2 from Season 5 - which is ToD and Creo) will compete for top 3. The top 3 players from Europe will then get to go to the Blizzcon in Orange County, USA in October to play in the Blizzcon Season 6 Finals.
Blizzcon Season 6 Finals:
Blizzcon stands for Blizzard Convention, and is usually held every year in the month of October in Orange County, California, USA.
Season 6 Finals will consist of the top 3 from Europe Regional Finals, top 3 from Asia Regional Finals, and top 2 from USA Regional Finals. These 8 players will compete for the grand prize of $10,000. Second placing and third placing usually get $3000 and $1000 respectively.

One of the best articles I've read recently. Reading it was really fun and gave me all the information I was looking for. I kinda wanted to see more replays, though.
