This weekend has seen what are being described as the best and worst Call of Duty 4 LANs to date. The ACER Challenge took place in the
WZZRD LAN center, Enschede the Netherlands this weekend. Hosted by the Crossfire community website and their admin team.
The tournament ran two hours ahead of schedule, a precedent and the first CoD4 LAN not to be running late. Meanwhile at the LAN centre of CGS fame The Omega Sektor, Birmingham the United Kingdom, the Summer Slam run by the SGL took place. Being hailed by many people as “the worst LAN” they have “ever attended”, one tournament that had run on the Saturday was cancelled while in full swing on Sunday with the SGL saying “Due to (a) lack of PC’s and time we” have had to cancel the Counter Strike Source tournament.
The SGL Summer Slam was also playing host to the United Kingdom’s ESWC qualifiers. Where
PGS.DeMusliM won the WC3,
FourKings.ddk won the Quake and the
Dignitas CounterStrike team won to qualify for the ESWC Grand finals in San Jose.

Really nice read. I enjoyed reading it, even though I know nothing about CoD4 (:P)
