This finals sees former 4Kings WC3 players Grubby and ToD back in the finals since the last time they were teammates at 4K. 4K players have always been a fan favorite at the finals and I expect Grubby fandom to be at an all time high this year. As for ToD, it is unclear how he will be received. His exit from PGL was less than graceful after losing to his teammate Fly, he forfeited his remaining match(es). In the past ToD has had a few other sketchy incidents, often not being satisfied with tournament conditions and forfeiting at times because of this.

Fellow gamers are probably upset with all the drama, but this controversy makes for great theatre. People love the compelling situations of not knowing what will happen. It is also players such as ToD where you don't know what you'll get that excites people. With players like Soju, consistency is an asset, he will almost always beat certain players, but if you perform above his level, you can often win. Players like ToD, Grubby and Moon are different - they can perform on any given day better than any player in the world, but at other times their performance is suspect. Last season in WC3L Grubby struggled, this season he was MYM's best asset, and should have been nominated for WC3L MVP; this fact probably upset many Grubby fans.

In this finals ToD is completely a wildcard. With Sase leaving mouz, and ToD's interest in competitive Warcraft 3 diminishing, no one really knows how well mouz will do. It depends if we see the players best form, or worst form - and with ToD and Grubby, you really never know. Either way, the fans will love them.
