Sun is shining, the heat's not allowing us to breath correctly, but the myMYM editorial staff is not sleeping! Just a few hours ago we decided to invigilate one of, if not the best, Canadian Orc player-
Jonathan Garneau, better known as KiwiKaki. Just around one month ago he left his team
mTw, due to an unknown mishap. We tried to dig as deep as possible and after our hard work you are able to get some fresh information on the case. Before you start reading this interview, be sure that you have a lot of coke and time, because it will "kick" you strongly.
Hello Jonathan, please introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, my name is Jonathan Garneau, I am 19 years old from Quebec. I started to play WC3 since the very first day, but only competively 2 years ago.
Just around month ago you left mTw due to some problems. Could you tell us what was the reason for that step?
The only reason is that mTw had a chance to have a better team so they decided to recruit whO, Winners and Check, as now they have mostly a Korean roster. There were not any problems with the team.
We've also heard that mTw had some problems with their players.
I did not get problems with salary from the team, I don't know if other players did. Maybe at the end they had some problems as I did not get my last salary, but I am still supposed to receive it, soon. And plus, they would not recruit Korean player if they have problems with money.
Do you think that mTw have enough money to keep very good Korean players in the team?
I don't know how much money mtw get per month for the team, but I am sure they can afford it, as it is a big organisation.

KiWiKaKi - I'm sure that mTw can afford the players
Is the current mTw squad better than the past one? Do they have any chances to be in the top flight in NGL and WC3L next season? Why have they chosen Koreans instead of well playing Europeans and Americans?
I guess so, since wh0 is a better orc than me. I think they've got good enough players to have decents result in both ngl and wc3l. Probably because Koreans are known to be very good and also maybe because of the opportunity they had to recruit them as Bet was dying.
But is it enough to beat for example MYM or SK? What would you change in their roster? If you could, of course.
I don't know yet if it is enough to beat SK and MYM, probably will give them trouble for sure. For the roster, it is too early to know which changes should be done. Will have to see later how the team performs.
Let's talk now about your presenteam Serious Gaming. After 1 month in a new team, could you say that you are satisfied with the cooperation?
Sure, I think it is working well at the moment and hope to keep it that way.
Srs is a very old organization, but due to unfortunate incidents they've lost almost everything. Now with the new roster, do you feel that your team can get to the top?
We have a team of talented players, and if everyone keeps practicing and wants to improve we can surely get good result in wc3l-ngl. Would be nice if we can one day make the wc3l offline finals.
Right now you are fighting for a place in the next WC3L season. Some time ago you lost 2-3 with wNv, what was the reason of this defeat?
wNv is a good team, and I also got the worst possible opponent for me, th00, because human is the hardest for me to beat at the moment, and he used strategy I have almost never played before. In 2on2 we did not make so many big mistakes, they just played better for the time being.
Now srs have to face against ieS in the losers' bracket. Have your team prepared some special tactics for this match? Are you afraid of your next opponent?
We are not afraid of ieS, but we cannot underestimate them for sure. We did not prepare special tactics, we will just determine which player's got the better chances to win on a certain map and determine which possible race is gonna be there and practice against it.
While srs have to fight in the losers' bracket, mTw is going to face wNv. Do you think that they are able to defeat them or it will be a hard match for both teams?
It's gonna be a hard match for both sides, as they both have great players.
WC3L playoffs will be played soon. Few days ago, we were informed that BeT won't participate in this tournament and their slot will be taken by mouz. Do you think it was a good step?
Sure it was a good step, they needed to add a team and mouz was the next one to go. Hard to predict the top 4 but I think with the current shape of the teams it's gonna be MYM-SK-WE-MOUZ.
Let's talk now about YOU. Which event was the most memorable for you?
My most important experience was WCG 2006 in Italy, as it was my first big tournament that I wanted to qualify for.
And from this event on you decided to be the best? Maybe it was earlier?
Yes, it was after that event that I wanted to improve my game to win bigger tournament. My goal is not to be a progamer and live from it, it is mainly for fun and going to big tournaments around the world.
What has WC3, E-Sports and big tournaments brought you? Have you met new friends, discovered new cultures or something else? What is the essence of gaming for you?
It gave me the opportunity to meet new people from all over the globe and to visit places I've never went to before. It also gave me a spirit of challenge and that is not only useful in gaming.

The old mTw squad (L-R) - NightWOlf, rukie (manager), Protois, Rainbow, KiWiKaKi
Some people say that Warcraft III will die after SC2 will arrive. Do you think that it will be the end of your game? What will you do when new Blizzard's child is born?
Maybe wc3 will not die as soon as SC2 arrives, it is hard to tell. But many people are gonna leave wc3 for sure, including myself. Wc3 is clearly not as good as starcraft: bw is, so it will not last as long.
Are you training now for a special tournament or you are just trying to get as many games in as possible? Where are we able to see you, and will be able in the future? Except for the WC3L qualifications, of course.
I am currently training to participate in ESWC and WCG qualifier Canada as the qualifications are near.
Are there any opponenst in Canada that you're afraid of or is KiwiKaki unbeatable?
I am not "afraid" of any opponent in Canada, but the only one that gave me trouble is APM.
Do you have a kind of idol in gaming? Someone who is giving you a strong motivation to play and who is a model for you?
Grubby has always been my favorite player as he's the best orc. When I started playing competitively 2 years ago he was the one I wanted to try being as good.
In this case we wish you good luck in real life and this internet alter ego. We hope that you will not leave us and we will be able to see you in many upcoming tournaments.
Thank you, and I hope to see you also.
