Hit0mi

United State- Hit0mi

MYM's drafts were good in both games in my opinion. At the beginning of the first game, I still believed MYM's far superior AoE would win them the game with ease. However, none of the initiaters (Axe, Enigma, CM) ended up getting blink due to mouz's strong lane control and slightly odd item choices. The lane control and ganking as well as the map control were simply overwhelming in Game 1 to the point where some heroes on MYM were just straight out feeding.

So Game 1 turned out to be somewhat of a stomp. Looking back at individual heroes on MYM's side however, one can see that MYM overall did not exactly abuse the changes of the new version. Not only did MYM go for a rather classic AoE strat, but they also didn't get any of the new items, or newly buffed items game 1 (shiva's lothars, sny etc) while one could almost say that mouz abused Dragon Knight (faster CD on ranged form, new SnY).

While seeing these drafts and games, one has to keep in mind however that these games were not played for a tournament, and really both teams were just aiming to have fun with the new possibilities of .52, so I would have to say that lineups in Pride finals would look extremely different.

Proof of that lies for example in the fact that both teams refused to pick terrorblade, or other heavy farming late gamers without banning them. While they weren't picked here, I'm sure that we'll be seeing a lot more of them in the future!

In game 2 MYM redeemed themselves rather well. There were less joke heroes involved (yes CM, Axe are a bit of a joke >_<;) and some picks actually proved to be pretty interesting. Solo'ing Drow vs. Sniper proved to be a fatal mistake as Maelks Sniper got complete freefarm. At the same time, although the Omni had a bit of a hard time in the lane his GA as well as buffed heal, together with the Shiva's Guard proved to be game changing.

MYM's game 2 lineup looked a lot more like a good innovative lineup that we might actually see in competitive games. Dwarven Sniper worked out well as solo (finally back from .27b) and new heroes and items were used and abused. Mouz's lineup was creative too, but the naga didn't end up countering GA as expected, and the overall lack of AoE stun / damage hurt Mouz alot more in game 2 since the lanes didn't win as much as in Game 1.

Seeing and talking about these games overall made me an enthusiast of .52b. Although we didn't see the parts of the game that I'm most afraid of (heavy late gamers and mass midasses), the new heroes and items add some interesting new aspects to the game, and if all .52 games end up being as action packed as these 2, I'll have no complaints at all!

we agreed on not picking tb, since he is insanely imbalanced in this version...

To be or not to be, where is the problem ?!

That kinda defeats the purpose of this whole thing. Whats the point in NOT abusing imba heros/strats? This version is considered to be stable, it will be stupid to have 6-7 imba heros and a couple of unbeatable strats being abused in tournaments later on.

TB is imba in 6.48b aswell. He is just even more imba in the newest version for some retarded reason.

I know he is imba but i dont know why is he more imba in this verision???Am i missing someth?

Buffed Sny, cheaper skadi, no dagger escapes, harder to gank with 8 top tier heros banned, more expensive to ward with a bird, neutrals give more gold in a longer run, need any more reasons? All those indirect nerfs/buffs make him imo the best carry in this version.

The difference is that nobody can run away from him anymore, take for example Rush3d vs VP at Asus, Rush3d had farmed TB who could basically solo out the whole team but the reason they lost is because of constant dagger escape and leaving TB with no kills and more vulnerable + having time for cooldowns, heals etc. Another reason why TB is retarded in the new version is because similair imba lates have been nerfed (luna, void) and ALL items that TB gets got buffed some way or another.

Hitomi hit it just about right, I think. We still have good reason to be worried about heavy lategame like TB, but these games are showing some good promise.

edit - thanks to both teams for have fun with this and going for the cool stuff like Sniper, Naga, Pawj, etc

The point is to play this version is to see the effect of it to competitive play. A reason removes are there in the first place is to remove the imbalances .. You have four removes each team, pretty sure that's plenty to remove tb without needing another remove

would also like to point out that Fear's Lich completly raped bm solo mid..

While I want to agree with this, because I am a Lich-fan, the BM kept up with the Lich's CS thoughout the game, something I didn't think a melee hero could do against Lich. The Chain Frost between BM and Quillbeast, though, was great :D

Ahh look at early game before the gank happend.. ofc lich starts to farm less when they get owned.. but bm needed to change lane cause he was so owned lvl 9 vs 7 i think.. and also a crucial time was when Fear chain frost when he was ganked and it jumped to a creep sooo far away.. kinda stupid..

:D you got no clue, the only thing that happend in that lane was lich-ulti killing me at lvl 6 when i thought i was out of range for 2nd bounce. Then lich just had a lot of luck escaping a lot of times. The only reason for leaving that lane is because taking the runes.

Keep urself in denial.. u where outfarmed and lvled and because u sucked and dont know range of Chain frost.. then it isnt Fears luck but its u that are horrible..

edit just saw the rep and he was 8 when u where 6 and u FAILED soo bad when u ultied him the first time.. he juked ur ass and how can a bm that gets all the first Runes that is able to spam axes not farm more than a Lich?!?

DENIAL!!

hmmm... what i think is this map needs way more time for big teams like MYM or Mouz to get used to.... i mean alot of changes has occured and i dont think its gonna be easy for them big teams to get used to it fast :S .. terrain change blink and bottle nerf.. some heroes stats changed.. and i can go on.. anyway good luck to all teams i hope we'll see high-quality dota in next pride.. peace
