![]() Hit0mi | MYM's drafts were good in both games in my opinion. At the beginning of the first game, I still believed MYM's far superior AoE would win them the game with ease. However, none of the initiaters (Axe, Enigma, CM) ended up getting blink due to mouz's strong lane control and slightly odd item choices. The lane control and ganking as well as the map control were simply overwhelming in Game 1 to the point where some heroes on MYM were just straight out feeding. So Game 1 turned out to be somewhat of a stomp. Looking back at individual heroes on MYM's side however, one can see that MYM overall did not exactly abuse the changes of the new version. Not only did MYM go for a rather classic AoE strat, but they also didn't get any of the new items, or newly buffed items game 1 (shiva's lothars, sny etc) while one could almost say that mouz abused Dragon Knight (faster CD on ranged form, new SnY). While seeing these drafts and games, one has to keep in mind however that these games were not played for a tournament, and really both teams were just aiming to have fun with the new possibilities of .52, so I would have to say that lineups in Pride finals would look extremely different. Proof of that lies for example in the fact that both teams refused to pick terrorblade, or other heavy farming late gamers without banning them. While they weren't picked here, I'm sure that we'll be seeing a lot more of them in the future! In game 2 MYM redeemed themselves rather well. There were less joke heroes involved (yes CM, Axe are a bit of a joke >_< MYM's game 2 lineup looked a lot more like a good innovative lineup that we might actually see in competitive games. Dwarven Sniper worked out well as solo (finally back from .27b) and new heroes and items were used and abused. Mouz's lineup was creative too, but the naga didn't end up countering GA as expected, and the overall lack of AoE stun / damage hurt Mouz alot more in game 2 since the lanes didn't win as much as in Game 1. Seeing and talking about these games overall made me an enthusiast of .52b. Although we didn't see the parts of the game that I'm most afraid of (heavy late gamers and mass midasses), the new heroes and items add some interesting new aspects to the game, and if all .52 games end up being as action packed as these 2, I'll have no complaints at all! |

we agreed on not picking tb, since he is insanely imbalanced in this version...

Hitomi hit it just about right, I think. We still have good reason to be worried about heavy lategame like TB, but these games are showing some good promise.
edit - thanks to both teams for have fun with this and going for the cool stuff like Sniper, Naga, Pawj, etc Last edited by theOtter at 21.05.2008, 04:05

The point is to play this version is to see the effect of it to competitive play. A reason removes are there in the first place is to remove the imbalances .. You have four removes each team, pretty sure that's plenty to remove tb without needing another remove
