We would have to begin with this question. How did the decision to acquire Grubby come about? How long have it been under discussion?

One reason we picked Grubby was that he is a superstar with impressive achievements and he is willing to win something with MYM. Sky is a good player, super human, but Chinese players have normally also internet problems and stuff like that.

Does this mean you actually wanted to add Sky in your roster?

Sky is an impressive gamer. Many teams thought about adding him, but we were never active in this direction. Sky was just an example which I gave, about the interesting players in this world. But they are far of them.

What are your goals with MYM and how do you plan to achieve that as a manager?

The goals are, winning the WC3L and winning the NGL. But not only that, in addition to the team leagues, we will do our best to be the most successful team also solo league wise. The aim is just to be the best and for this goal we will work as hard as we can and we will put not only our potential into reaching these goals, we will also put our hearts into them!

Well I will try to let the players focus on what they are supposed to do: Training and gathering points! While we will take care of all things, we can keep away from the gamers. We will act like a team and do things together, that are the reason for us being here. To take care of all kinds of stuff and being always there for the gamers and help with the one or the other tip.

Why did you want a new player added to MYM’s roster anyway? Was the acquisition of Shy and FoCuS not enough?

The reason for adding Grubby to our roster is simple. We wanted someone, who is experienced enough to reach goals in MYM. We set our Goals higher this season and there will be some changes in the MYM Lineup in the future. Shy was the first change, Grubby is the second change. There is still something to come.

What do you expect of Grubby’s performance this year? How much will we be seeing him play in NGL and WC3L for MYM?

If I do not believe in Grubby, I would have be against adding him to the the current team. But I always believed in Grubby, every gamer has a rough time sometimes, but the real kings and winner-types stand up again and do everything to win. Real winner-types always chose the challenge and one of those few guys is Grubby. To answer your question, he is being a big part of our lineup, so he will of course play NGL and WC3L.

And with the addition of Grubby to MYM’s roster, how confident are you that the team will be clinching more first places instead of runner-ups?

I am sick of 2nd places and so are the rest of MYM; we want first places. Being
2nd at a league is not bad, but being constant 2nd is not what we are aiming for. We want to win the WC3L really bad and I am pretty confident that this
season we will be more effective.

Will we be seeing the old rivals of Moon and Grubby to become a formidable 2v2 team?

Grubby and Moon will not form a 2on2 team. We have two 2on2 teams working at the moment. Maybe there will be a chance to test a new 2on2 team for later tasks. But that is not being decided yet and there is no need to rush things like that.

It goes without saying that MYM is undoubtedly one of the richest organizations in the entire pro-gaming scene now. With such a massive budget to spend, how likely will we see another addition to the team in 2008?

Being rich or poor, I think everything is about constant good work. In case there is someone really interested in the market, then we might get active sooner or later. But we just announced two new guys for the upcoming season. That is enough for now!

Let’s be honest here. Starcraft 2 will most likely be released in summer this year. A lot of game-switching (from WC3 to SC2) is going to transpire within the scene. Will Grubby make of a valuable investment 6 months from now?

Grubby is always a valuable investment! I do not understand people hyping that Starcraft 2 like crazy. Warcraft Gamers earn their money with Warcraft, and the guys have running contracts, why should there be a change? In case Starcraft 2 will come out, there is still a long time for Warcraft. Even Starcraft 1 is still being played. Okay not that often anymore, BUT there is still a lot of money in that game.

Where do you see the Warcraft 3 squad of MeetYourMakers at the end of the year?

I am not a fortune teller. I just want to reach the goals we set ourselves and be the most successful team in 2008. That is basically all I can say, of course we do our best and give 150% this year. It is about time to win something.

And if you were to compare MYM with SK from an impartial point of view, which team would come out on top? Why?

I do not want to answer the question. Of course I want to see MYM better than SK, but I guess that question will be answered in the future when we see both teams performing.

Finally, is there a slightest possibility that Ciara and Konna will be released from the team?

Ciara is showing a solid performance at the moment. Playing good in the Extreme Masters and also in the Zotac Cup. He is more motivated for now and showing good results again. Konna is an upcoming gamer, who has a lot of potential. Our 2 Scandinavian Orcs will remain in our roster for sure.
