Normally Silly Season is the name for the period in the late summer which is "typified by the emergence of frivolous news stories in the media". The term is also used to describe the transfer season in numerous sports, and in WarCraft III we have our very own Silly Season.
Because of the strict rules in WC3L most WC3 teams are using contracts with a running time of either 6 or 12 months, to ensure that their rosters aren't changed within the season. After the season lots of contracts are running out, which is causing changes throughout the entire scene. This happens every half year, once in the summer and once in the winter. This year we have seen some quite interesting transfers.
ToD going from 4Kings to Mouz and
Shy replacing
YellOw in MYM are some of the biggest stories, but there are plenty of other moves to keep an eye out for.
We have gathered some of the biggest highlights of the Silly Season, aswell as a complete overview of all the transfers in the period. Be sure to check this feature out if you missed some of the action.
