The number of female gamers playing cyber games is on an all time high and still steadily raising.
What do you think is influencing such a move? Whats become appealing to females, in gaming?
PMS^Miss-Rinoa:
I think the few that came out at first became a motivating factor for the rest. I am a HUGE fan of Vanessa Arteaga (best female DOA player in the world on the OPTX team for CGS.) Once I saw how much she owns, I was like hey, I want to do that too. I think girl gaming has just become more widely accepted and because of it, more girls are popping out everywhere.
PMS^Miss-Sunie:
I think a lot of females are just more willing to stand up for what they enjoy. I remember when I was younger, and people would tell me that girls shouldn't play video games. I think that we are now in a society that accepts it a lot more. It's really hard to find someone between the ages of 8-10 that hasn't played a video game. :D
Having said that, female DotA players are still greatly out numbered by the males.
What needs to be done in order for DotA to attract more female players?
PMS^Miss-Rinoa:
I actually think there are mannnnnnnny dota girls out there, they are just hidden. I think more female teams just need to get more exposure....like that Singapore team dN gurls*. I bet they are role models in Singapore... They told us every girl in Singapore dream to be sponsored and they even talk about our team everyday hahaha.
PMS^Miss-Sunie:
I think people just need to not freak out as much when they find out they are playing against a girl. It's pretty annoying to get into Ventrillo, and have people hound you once they find out you're a girl. It can be pretty funny sometimes, but sometimes people can be really rude.

Counter Strike is probably the most popular e-sport for females. They even have leagues, tournaments and tournament sections dedicated to them.
Do think DotA has what it takes to go down that same road?
PMS^Miss-Rinoa:
DotA has already exceeded my expectations so why not? I think before female dota expands, dota itself needs to continue expanding. It would be kind of cool to see female dota seperate.... Because we would dominate it ;).
PMS^Miss-Sunie:
It would be pretty exciting. I would love to play in an all-female tourney! I think DotA really needs more tourneys like Fire in Ice. With more LANs, more people will hear about DotA :D
Do you think having seperate DotA leagues and tournaments for females would benificial?
PMS^Miss-Sunie:
I don't see it happening for a long time, but I think it could be really fun.
PMS^Miss-Rinoa:
I don't know...it would be kind of interesting...but I don't really like seperation. Instead of viewing us as gamer girls, I would like us to just be viewed as gamers. We want to prove that we can compete just like guys! PMS Clan wants girls to compete with guys.
