Questions 11&12

sc

Q11: If you would actually go to Korea do you think you could succeed as a progamer?

United State- Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski: I guess it matters on how long the player gets to go. It could take a very long time for any foreigner going over to catch up to the progamers in Korea. I would certainly work hard towards it.

United State- Eric "G5" Rothmuller: I would play so much that I would go as far as I personally could go. I would call that succeeding.

United State- Greg "Idra" Fields: As in win a StarLeague? Obviously not. I have no idea how well I’d do, it would mostly depend on how I responded to the environment and the practice I think.

United State- Jacob "LzGamer" Winstead: I think miracles happen every day, ha-ha.

United State- Bryce Paul "TheMachine" Bates: No, they have been playing vs. pros their whole life and they probably want it way more than me. I don’t think I would have much of a chance.

United State- Tyler "Nony" Wasieleski: I think I have the agility of the hands and agility of the mind to become a great SC player, but it would be very difficult for me to put in 8+ hour days every day. It'd be a huge challenge for me.

United State- Dhinesh Kumar "Nesh" Devanathan: With a lot of dedication, one can succeed with hard work.

United State- David "Dino" Kent:Honestly, I don't think eSTRO would play any of the foreigners in their lineup. I know I could give their players some good practice though. I've actually played a few of their members before on the west server.

United State- Andrew "Slog4" An: I might not be able to succeed in progaming, but I might able to get laid, obviously.

Canada Jian Fei "Iefnaij" Wang: No, I don't think ANY foreigner will succeed in Korea. Just look at Draco, PJ, and LX. They had a lot of potential and is arguably the best players outside Korea. They attempted at progaming and all backed out. If they can't do it, I can't see anyone else being able to.

Canada Zhe "XiaoZi" Theng: No, but I’m sure I will improve a lot. as I heard from others its hard to get practice games in Korea if u know nobody, but still I can improve by watching pros and get a few games.

Q12: Your first opponent is ____. What are your predictions for the match?

United State- Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski: LzGamer: I should win the match.

United State- Eric "G5" Rothmuller: InControl: No predictions. May the better player win.

United State- Greg "Idra" Fields: Skew: No idea, neither of us knows how to [play] TvT. Whoever gets lucky will win.

United State- Jacob "LzGamer" Winstead: Artosis: PURE BLOODFEST ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

United State- Bryce Paul "TheMachine" Bates: Nony: Nony hasn’t really been playing so I might stand an average chance vs. him, our styles contradict nicely. Though I must admit he has beaten me in every tournament we have run up against each other in.

United State- Tyler "Nony" Wasieleski: TheMachine: I think that if I can harass him and do some economic attacks, I will win. If he is allowed to macro, then I will lose.

United State- Dhinesh Kumar "Nesh" Devanathan: Iefnaij: TvP [is] my best match up, but I haven’t practiced. I expect each game to be either short or 30mins.

United State- David "Dino" Kent: Schism: I'm really confident in PvT and I've beaten progamers on these maps in the past except for Peaks of Baekdu. I should be ok for the first round, I'm kind of scared of PvsP though.

United State- Andrew "Slog4" An: Evade: I’ll just have to kill those turrets and I win.

Canada Jian Fei "Iefnaij" Wang: Nesh: I've never played him before, nor have I ever seen any of his replays. So anything can happen.

Canada Zhe "XiaoZi" Theng: [At the time of interview XiaoZi’s opponent was not yet known.]

As you can see for yourself the answers vary greatly. Confidence, humility, diligence, respite, all join together in this unexpected, yet long awaited tournament. Some players have known of it for months, and some have just learned yesterday. Some have played tens of games a day and some played less then 10 in a month. But there is something that unites all them. The power of their will. The will to win and to succeed, the will to be the best and to come out victorious out of this tournament. Final conflict it is indeed for them. So God be with you, and may the best man win.
