ZYKON - Madferret

Hello, what are your expectations towards this event and how did your team prepare?

Hello, first of all we are happy to be able to take part at this event with such a good occupation of top-teams. Due to this fact we do not expect too much. We are happy if we endure the group stage, which is the first goal we are aiming for. Until now we did not prepare at all, since loomit and me have moved to another City in Germany two weeks ago and because we are having a little summerbreak right now.

Why did your team decide to attend the event?

We decided to take part, as this tournament is a preparing event for us. It is giving us experience and preperation training for the German ESL EPS Relegation, which is the qualification for the main ESL EPS Season.

Are there any teams you would like to play against and any you would rather not play?

We dont have any teams we love or hate to play against. At least not right now. As a team we havent played too many of these teams regularly enough. I reallycant tell.

In your opinion, which teams are going to be the toughest? Which teams do you fear the most?

For us all teams will be tough. There are some teams we have played in official and practise matches. Some we have beaten some not. I think beside the spanish qualifier teams all will be very tough. But I have to say that I only know aCv and they arent too bad. But apart from the almost equal level I think that one of the great teams like SK- Gaming, fnatic, 69N-28E, mousesports, mibr will win it. Its hard to name one, but if I had then it would be fnatic.

Where will you be staying during the event, and will you do other stuff besides attending GameGune?

We will place ourselves in one not to far placed hotel. Beside the event some of us might have some businessmeetings with our company in Spain. And I have to say if the whether is good ist quite usual for german people to have some hollidays in Spain :)

What is your stand on the whole CS1.6 vs. CS:S debate going on at the moment, which game do you prefer, and which do you see yourselves playing in 1-2 years?

I think this is all pretty weird. I have taken part at the first CS:S CPL Event in Dallas 2004 where I have placed 4th with my team. I like source as a game. But for myself and on competetive level I prefer CS1.6. I loved it if they could keep on developing CS1.6. Since they wont be doing this I can only hope that CS ProMode will be as good as it sounds. Since I planned to play at least another 1-2 years I will play whats being played in the tournaments as long as ist worth being played, if not I will concentrae my time on other things.

Thank you! Anything you want to add?

Thank you very much Pb. Id like to thank our great supporters and partners ZYKON Gameware and ZYKON Systems. Thanks for the interview
