Review: Energy Drinks Pt. 1
| Ah, the energy drink! Only the single most important LAN item...except the computer and the skills of course. Which ones are the most powerful, or which just taste great? Well, I've taken various energy drinks and testing them while playing different games! How do the ratings work? Well, I rate these drinks on a scale from 1 to 10 in three categories. Power: The energy it gives you. Taste: How good does it taste? Comment: Extra comments,these can either give minus points or plus points. Then I average them, 10 still being the absolute best! Lets begin! |
Energy Drink Review Roundup!

Full Throttle Energy: Full Throttle is a crisp energy drink made by the Coca-Cola company. It features a citrus orange flavor, and is lightly carbonated. The size of the can, 16 oz. is a plus for a long night of gaming. In the end, Full Throttle doesn't give the satisfying kick other drinks offer. This a good drink for those who like to stay awake, not jumpy. Power: 6/10 Taste: 8/10 Comment: Made by Coca-Cola, a well respected name. Also a good value compared to some other names. +.5 Final Score: 7.25

Red Bull Energy: Aha! The big daddy of energy himself! Red Bull is one of the most popular energy drinks out there, with various comercials on TV and magazine ads. Red Bull is great for mixing with alcohols such as vodka (for those over the drinking age of course!) because it contains a plain taste to it. Not a bad plain, but just plain, meaning it has no fruity taste. The power it gives you can make you jumpy while gaming, make sure to never buy a machine gun type weapon! The energy disperses unevenly, and the can is also smaller then most drinks at 8 oz. Power: 9/10 Taste: 8/10 Comment: Great mixer; Small can; Expensive; Uneven energy -1 Final Score: 8/10

Monster Energy: If Red Bull was the big daddy, this will be the extremely obese mama! Monster is a very popular energy drink comming in at 16 oz. and 24 oz. cans! That's a lot of gaming. It's flavor is also "plain" as it doesn't have a distinct fruity type flavor. It offers a sweet smooth and refreshing run down your throat, even better when icey cold. Power: 8/10 Taste: 9/10 Comment: Big can; Easy to find +1 Final Score: 9/10

Red Bull is probably the most popular worldwide, along with Monster, but theres a few better ones :P
