INTERVIEWS:
Interview with
Benjamin 'paN' von Mulert from ALTERNATE aTTaX:
MYM|MitH: You have been overdominating in Germany this season, how can you explain your incredible performance?
aTTaX|paN: We have arranged our team of young and not highly experienced player and highly experienced player. This combination was adventurous at the beginning, but it worked. Everyone worked hard for our goal to become the number one in germany and we have arrived this goal at the moment. The harmony and the teamspirit is very well and if there are some problems we immediately discuss about the problems and try to fix them. Furthermore everyone of the team has the same opinion about offensive and defensive plays. That is a relieve for making tactics. And if there is a such a powerful captain as mooN and a "motivationbomb" like CHEF-KOCH, it have to work in-Game ;).
You didn't have lost one single match in EPS.de. What's the secret of your regularity?
We are a ambitious team with goals. You can't look forward without goals. And as I said, one of our goals is to become the number one in germany. Everyone of the team knew the situation and takes the trainings serious. We especially prepared ourselves for every match. Furthermore we know how the other german teams play and we can "read" some things about the enemy in-Game. Then you have to react. By the experiences of every player it's only a question of time until you react correct to special actions of the enemy. That is one of our principles which have always affected positive on our games.
Some teams like pod.hama and 360eSports have achieved surprising results this year, what do you think about it? Do you fearAre you afraid of being knocked down by any of them at the Finals?
360eSports and pod.hama were always teams which weren't really noticeable, but you can't underestimate them. A game against 360eSports or pod.hama meant a hard job for every team in the past, therefore I'm not surprised about the results of both teams. In fact I'm glad about the results, because both teams have the chance prove themselves on the finals. We don't fear the teams, but we don't underestimate them. We take them serious and we'll play against them like against every other enemy. I'm looking forward to the matches against them.
You have easily won the last ESWC.de. Do you think you will be able to achieve a better performance than your predecessors?
As you said, we dominated nationally. The ESWC will be the next international test for our team and our predecessors placed third. I would say that in the meantime we are ready for the tournament and our goal is to come in the top3. If we farther learn from our mistakes and react in the important situations correct, we are able to do a better performance than our predecessors. However it will be a tough way to the top of the world.
What is your opinion on EPS.de and ESL?
In my opinion the ESL is Europe-wide the most important and professional league at the moment. They market the eSport as competition over the internet and the television, which has a positive effect on every interested and also on uninformed people. They inspire the interest of sponsors and the league is always growing. Especially the EPS.de is similar to the German Football League, because the EPS.de is the "kingclass" of the german eSport. I enjoy the system and I want speak out a plaudit. Keep it up!
What are your expectations for the Finals? Have you planned any special training schedule?
Our expectations for the finals are, to defeat every enemy and bring the cup back to ALTERNATE ;)! We defeated every enemy in the past, beside pod. We played a draw against them and they will be our first enemy on the finals. Thats the reason why we are special motivated for the first match. We unfortunately haven't a special training rythm for the finals, 'cause roman and mooN have conclave and exam stress. So we can only cross our monday-thursday & sunday training plan, but we will think out some special tactics for the finals.
Do you think you will keep the same lineup next year?
We will definitely keep the same lineup next year!!!
Interview with
Tim 'Silver' Hochgrebe from mousesports:

MYM|MitH: At the beginning of the season, everybody was seeing mouz as the main favorite. But still, you didn't achieved first neither at EPS.de nor at ESWC.de. What do you think went wrong for your this season?
mouz|silver*: Not that much actually, we didnt think it would be that hard to become a really TOP team but we obviously still have some work to do. If you look at the big teams like fnatic or PGS, they all needed quite some time before they became the force they are now.
Have you planned some special training schedule for these finals?
Going tru all our strats and pracc some new ones...nothing special tho.
Your performance in Eurocup XV Group Stage was a bit disapointing, and in the other hand astonishing throughout the NGL-One. Do you think you will be plently ready for the upcoming international events such as ESWC?
I think it will be easier for us to play international. In Germany our biggest enemy is aTTaX, and they are playing antistrat-cs. Their strength is their preperation before the match, wich paid of for them at the last ESWC qualifier. International Teams dont put that much preperation in a match against us, watching 1-2 demos but not more. We will see if we are ready.
Are you afraid to be stunned down again by 360eSports?
No.
What are your expectations for these EPS.de finals?
We want to win every match, hopefully finally the hard work will pay off.
What is your opinion about the EPS.de, and ESL in a general way?
The best league you can imagine, hugh prizemoney, alot of events, great organisation, great staff, always a pleasure for us!
Will mouz keep the same lineup next year?
Next year is far far away, we are ready to finally explode this summer, our team really deserves it!
Interview with
Antonio 'cyx' D. from 360eSports:
MYM|MitH: Nobody was expecting for 360eSports at this level of the competition for this season, how can you explain such a good performance?
|360|cyx: At first of all i have to add, that expect we, the players, didnt await to reach the eps finals. After winning the matches vs ID and mouz, we really got motivated for reaching the finals, so we trained a bit more and got game to game more impressive.
What is your rythm of training?
Well :D in the first 5 matches ( i think ) we didnt train for any games, cause of the school tests gob b and bauzka had to write. so we really started training at the 6th. playday i think. we trained 3-5 praccs and a bit theory.
Why didn't you attend the ESWC German Qualifier?
we didnt attend to the ESWC.de, because we had to play an IFNG ( Intel Friday Night Game ) at the same date. so we had no time to come from munich to cologne.
How can you explain your defeat versus TBH in ESL Friday's LAN Night Game?
Well we started a good half as t ( 5 wins ) so we thought, that the game would be over and we had won it, but tbh played 5 of 7 winning rounds a nice B rush, that we couldnt handle, theres nothing more to add, they were better.
What are your expectations for EPS.de Finals?
We expect to reach at least the 3rd place, all thats more than that is just bonus :)
And finally, do you think the line up will stay as it is for the next season?
we talked much about next saison and decided that we wont change the lineup next saison.
Interview with
Benjamin 'MuKuH' Barth from pod.hama:
MYM|MitH: What do you think of your season?
pod-MuKuH: I am very proud of my guys because we had such an incredible season with many clutch games and everyone has stepped up to win them.
Did you expect to be the only team who hasn't loose any game to aTTaX in EPS?
They underestimated us, so we could play our game and they didn`t really know what to do against it. But the fact that they have won all the other games was really unexpected.
You finished 7-8th at ESWC Qualifier, losing versus mTw and a-Losers. How do you feel about that?
We went into this tournament to have a little bootcamp and to gain experience on playing TFTs. Beside of that we played extremly bad the whole tournament, but there were also no way we were going to finish top 3 without preparation.
What do you think of EPS.de and the ESL organisation in a general way?
The EPS.de pushes the esport community in a way nobody had expected. The level of skill increased every year and the ESL is the platform for all of that. I love to play in such a professional league like EPS.de.
What are your expectations for EPS.de Finals?
That will be a very nice experience for us and we will work hard to achieve at least Top 3. But we got no expectations and are already satisfied with placing Top 4.
Have you planned any special training schedule?
There will be no change in the rythm. We gonna play something like 4 hours a day and hope for the best on the finals.
And finally, do you think the line up will stay as it is for the next season?
Hopefully yes. We haven`t talked about it yet. I think there is a good chance that this lineup will play the next season together, too.
