Every single day gaming websites receive thousands of visitors, all wanting to get the latest scene news, post in the forums or just to check out the online coverage of the team itself. I’m sure if I asked any one out of the thousands of visitors, who aren’t already in a contracted team, if they wanted to join a top team - without a doubt they would accept. However, do they know what they would be getting themselves into?

The only judgement the 'public' have is based on the media associated with e-Sports, but as always there is work behind the scenes. This article should enlighten you with what high level gaming really is all about. Once, you've received that all important contract you think that you will be cruising off to international lan events, representing one of the best teams in the world without a care in the world.

In reality hard work, determination and many hours of practice will be required and these are just the requirements to keep on top of your game play. Players in high ranked teams in the public’s eye are seen as e-Sports role models and this comes with a huge responsibility for the players to uphold a good ethic in game and out. This includes regular contributions to the website in order to keep supporters revisiting, public relation events including interviews and articles and also developments with sponsors on upcoming technology and products.

Rather than hear this from me, I thought that it would be nice to hear some typical daily routines from some pro gamers. Hopefully they will bring you an insight to what it takes to be a progamer, and also how much work they actually do behind the scenes!
