The Introduction

Can you please give a long introduction about yourself as a person, and who you are?

I'm Kevin van der Kooi, I live in Rotterdam the second biggest city of the Netherlands and I’m 19 years old. I play Wc3 for 3 and a half years now and still enjoying it, besides wc3 I still go to school/college which I hope to finish this or next year, after that I will follow a different education. In Wc3 as mostly know I play Orc for fnatic team.

How did you get into online gaming and how did you enter the fnatic team?

I just rolled into it. When I bought Wc3 I had no idea about e-sports or whatsoever, just later I heard about competitions like WCG etc and I liked the idea of competing in PC Games. For me it all started with Ra2 online, I still remember the joy that used to gave me. I played RTCW also for quite some time, was really fun to play but then I bought Wc3 cause online friends of me were playing it a lot.

I got into fnatic when my old clan 3wD Disbanded. So I got clan less and fnatic had the plan to build a wc3 team. Guess I have to thank triMble for inviting me to fnatic.wc3 cause he saw potential in me.

I see, for those of us who don't know, what are Ra2 online and RTCW?

Ra2 is Red Alert 2. A real time strategy game also and I’ve been a fan since the very first Command & Conquer, it was really sad that EA bought Westwood cause since then it never was the same :(.

RTCW is Return to Castle Wolfe stein, a team based shooter. Kind of like Counter Strike I guess, but pretty different in game play. Was based on the World War 2 scene and it was really great to play, used to play with my brother and it was really fun.

Interesting, so I take it you never took interest in playing Counter-Strike?

Played some with classmates till my steam acc got banned, CS is really boring but with some wall hack it's quite fun, to bad Valve didn't appreciate my actions :(.

Wow. Online cheating is no good unless people agree to it in custom type games =).
