You were invited to play in the famous PGR21 Tournament, but you lost to Tempest. What do you think about these Korean+non-Korean tournaments? Do the non-Korean stand a chance?
Of course. But only four or five do. I do not need to list them, you should know them.
The rest are just fodder who may get lucky or play a few good games, but in such a field of players they cannot keep the pace and will eventually fall.
Since you mentioned Pj: would you consider going to Korea to become a progamer if that opportunity should arise?
It has already arisen a couple times. During a bad time, so I turned it down. Now however, yes. The option to go is actually at my fingertips and I can leave whenever I would like. I simply haven't yet. Now the offer is a bit different though then going pro. It is simply to go there and get team tests / do courage and the whole deal. Which is fine with me.
I would not like to become a progamer if I cannot pass courage. If I were a player like that, I would be hoping for a bit of luck rather than my having faith in my own skills to get me there. How would I ever expect to even qualify for Starleague if I cannot pass courage, after all?
Shrug, I have respect for the amount of effort many others put into it. If I did not put the same effort in, I would not deserve any success.
I guess you watch the Korean scene. What about the OGN/MBC vs KeSPA controversy? How does that affect the StarCraft scene in your opinion?
I am not educated enough on the matter to make statements. I read through what I was given on TL.net and MYM.news. It is intended to effect it for the better though. However the fight did come with risks to progaming.
You are pretty familiar with WCG, since you've been a part of it. What about this years' WCG? Do you plan to attend? What are your chances to get there?
Eh, I do not know. I will of course attend if I am in Canada at the time.
My chances? They are always high. This year there is only one spot though, and I do not know the format. I would say atleast 50% to get through.
Your opponents might be Oldy, TT1, or XiaoZi. Do you think you can defeat them?
I haven't thought that far ahead. Who knows, might be in Korea. I haven't made serious plans to go there. Haven't made serious plans for WCG.
