Could you please introduce yourself and your team in regards to the Scan Team NFF tournament?
Hi im John 'Friza' Reilly, 18 and playing for ClanONE, our lineup is Righteous, 101, Negotiator, dET and Friza.
The online qualification stage is about to begin. What do you think of the group you have been entered into?
Were happy about the group we've been placed into, I haven't heard of all the teams, we should win the group behind us either FtD or wonderboys.
There is much competition for the number one spot. How do you think you will do?
Yeah, it's a big tournament with over 100 teams competiting, our main aim for this tournament is to win it. Hopefully if we practice and prepare enough we will be able to, but theres other great teams such as virtuoso, overtime and h5 in it for the number 1 spot.
Who do you think will be the toughest opponents in the competition?
I think Virtuoso and overtime will be strong opponents, they've been consistant on LAN scene, but hopefully we will come out on top.
This event is the biggest thing in the UK at the moment. Do you see it as a turning point for national esports in general?
Yea, for UK Scene this is probably one of the bigger things that has happened, it's nice to see a tournament like this were teams in the UK can practice for with the chance to have the unique sponsorship deal that it comes with. Theres a lack of UK sponsored teams so I feel for the UK and National scene this is a good step for eSports.
Over ninety teams have entered the competition, surely there has been much strain on the organisers. How has it been for the likes of yourself, the competitors?
We'll with such a large number of teams applying the scene in the UK has become more active, everyone practicing for the event, so it should be good.
Finally, would you like to warn the competition how good you are? Or maybe you'd just like to use this space for general shoutouts? It's all yours.
I'd like to thank our sponsor dustworld, also good luck to the other clans competing!
