About eSports in general

All right moving on, how exactly did you get into gaming and more specifically, E-sports?

Hmm. I got into gaming when I was 9 years old, my father is a computer technician so we had an ATARI, C64 and so on. I started playing games very early and I really enjoyed it. Then I came in touch with a guy from my former school and he played Counter Strike and WC3 online. We became really good friends and I collected my first experiences with online gaming. Shortly after we held a small LAN with a number of friends and played Warcraft III. I really liked the game and bought the original afterwards, to play it online. I played quite a few games, and noticed eSports was getting bigger and bigger, so I started to play WC3 serious. But it didn't really work out that well =P So I decided to became manager, and it suits me well.

If you were to form a team, what exactly according to you are the main components of a successful one?

In my eyes team spirit, loyalty of the players towards the organization and towards their mates and dedication or the will to give 100% at all time makes a good team and the success will follow. It is important to create a team that does not only consist out of good players, but a team that can bond experiencing LAN events together or any other kind of events help a lot. As a team manager you have to give the players a place where they can turn.

Does the manager- player relationship need to be based on friendship or not? What is the relationship you share with your own players?

In my opinion it's important that the players and managers getting along together otherwise it will end in a bad atmosphere inside the team and that can destroy your team if you have to solve a big problem. I have a good relationship with them but I can't say that we are real friends because I don't know them long enough. Beside with TechnoBoy, we became really good friends and he will probably visit me for 1-2 months in summer.

If you could make a good team, which players would you choose?

Nice question. I would choose Grubby, Sweet, ToD, Deadman and my all-time favorite player MaDFroG. I doubt that any team would have a chance against them especially with MaDFroG as a joker.

Where do you see eSports going in a few years from now?

I think it will further professionalize itself and become more mainstream. We will see some mainstream companies enter the arena and teams and organizations will become stronger then ever.
