Raven Interviews Mondragon

Very recently, one of our standout Terran players, Poland MYM.Raven, took some time out of his very active gaming & working schedule to sit down & discuss a few items with German sensation, Germany ToT)Mondragon(. Mondragon has been one of the mostly widely recognized & renowned foreign players over the past few years. Many have seen him as a potential pro-gamer one day in Korea, with his agressive ZvP play being his most famous trademark.

Mondragon1Mondragon has competed for top positions in many tournaments throughout the year. To kick off 2006, he led his team, the Internationa- Templars of Twilight, to overall victory in the first SCCL League. Shortly thereafter, Mondragon also became the eventual owner of $800 thanks to yet another 1st Place finish in the AmeriCup, sponsored by the GGL. His next major tournament of the year was to be the TANL#3, where he performed very well, although losing in the grand final to Poland MYM.Draco, and settling in for 2nd Place finish. But, Mondragon rebounded swiftly from his defeats by Draco in Americup, and returned in the EuroCup to prominence; taking 1st Place, by defeating Draco with a 3:0 score, even with the protoss star having made his move to the land of progaming.

In some other tournaments this year, he won both the ESL Pro Series Season VII, and the final Season VIII, by defeating all other 15 participants with little trouble. He also was one of 4 foreign players selected to travel to America in late 2005 to compete against Top professional players Korea, South Nal_rA, Korea, South Yell0w, Korea, South Reach & Korea, South NaDa, at the Blizzard sponsored Blizzcon'05. To top everything off, he was also named as the "Best Player" of 2005 by GosuGamers.net, and received an award of this title in his honor. As you can see, Mondragon has one hell of a resume when it comes to StarCraft! And now that you've heard my small introduction to Mondragon, please check the very next page in this article, for an outstanding interview of the German Guru, slaved over by MYM.Raven!
