Korea and the development with NoA

With Asylum you traveled to Korea to compete in the World esports Games (WEG) Season III. Things in Korea are much different to here in Europe. What did you think of the esports culture there?
I LOVED Korea, and I know that mJe and hpx does as well, we really played in the best tournament ever, the guys behind WEG are awesome, and I really appreciate the job they do for us gamers. Gaming in Asia is just so much bigger here at home.

At the beginning of this year you left Asylum to join NoA. You played in Asylum with friends and long time teammates but made the "jump" to NoA non the less. What were your reasons for the change?
Hpx wanted to try something new, and I just followed him, it was really hard to leave the guys, especially Muhamed (mJe)

NoA

When you moved to NoA you said that you would be learning Swedish to help with the team’s communication. During the first few weeks/months did this "language barrier" create any problems?
Yeah a lot actually, however mixed Norwegian and Danish, and all of us were actually surprised over how easy it is. I really don’t see a problem with Norwegian, Danish and Swedish people playing together, it takes like 2 months, then you understand everything in game, which is the most important thing.

Prior to your joining of NoA some of Counter-Strike greatest players had played there. Did filling the boots of Element. Fisker, Shaguar and others add pressure to you and the team?
No not at all, If I remember correctly, the very first NoA team had a difficult time in the beginning, everyone expected them to win, but they didn’t.. However they also had one of the greatest teams in the world. But nah, no reason to think about them, I’m just concentrating on my own team, and that’s what is important for me.

In more recent times NoA was managed and maintained by esports agency Brand The Game. Brand The Game took care of NoA's business and secured a sponsorship agreement with Kappa and Steel Series. This left you with only one thing to worry about, playing the game. Did having such a management team improve your game? Take pressure of the team?
Not for me personally, I tried that in SK, so I was prepared.. However you can’t stop thinking about it when you have a bad event. It’s a really sad feeling, to disappoint people who works for free for you.

The partnership between NoA and Brand The Game has recently diminished. As announced a few weeks ago your long term team manager, Martin "guddo" Coderson, has taken over the CEO's position at NoA. How did this come about and how is the future looking for NoA?
The future is really looking good for NoA, that’s all I can say. However, we are confident in guddo, and he is really busting his ass to make this team get back on its feet. After NoA became Danish, Brand The Game has been away, the 3 guys who owns Brand The Game, had some problems in their real life. I respect Brand The Game, and even though these last 6 months were bad, I don’t regret any of my time in NoA... they were always honest with us (<3 mba)

And now the interview with Zonic has come to the very end and we wish Zonic and NoA the best of luck in the future!
