Gaming for life

I remember when I first got my Sega Mega Drive, it was then that I came into contact with video games. Since then I have played and worked my way to where I am now. Can you give us an overview of your gaming life, starting with your first experience and ending around present time?
It all started with my dad visiting Denmark (He lives in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia) He gave me a Nintendo, and I just played Mario all the time haha, after that I got a Sega, which had sonic the hedgehog. After that it was a PC, where I played Red alert a lot. I sold my computer, took a break, and bought a new computer when I started playing CS for real.

What attracted you to video games? Why did you decide to spend time indoors playing  video games instead of going out with friends or simply watching TV?
I don’t know actually. I just think there is something in computer games that hooks people up. I can describe it with 1 word, fun.

Zonic

Like the majority of us I suspect you began playing games for entertainment value. At what point did you realize that you could make a living from your favorite past time?
That was the time when SK came and asked me to join them, I was offered a computer, salary and lots of trips outside Denmark. The time in SK was really great, and I really miss the time with such a professional organization.

When you began playing professionally what did your parents think, say to you and do? Were they supportive or did they suggest your find a "real job?"
I really don’t talk much with my dad anymore, however my moms has been 100% supportive, I really couldn’t have done it without her. She actually told me to take one more year with CS, and then quit in a year to then start in school. However I tried dealing with both things at the same time :P

What are you thoughts on professional gaming? Do you think it is a suitable career path for today’s youth to consider? Would you recommend it to your son or daughter in the future?
Depends on how big the game is at that time. I would probably tell them to go to school so they can support me with their big educations when I'm old, haha :P Nah well, If I had a son, yeah then I would recommend it to him. Daughter? Nah, not enough competitions for the girls yet.
