What do you think about the current state of the eSport scene? How do you think it will develops and what do we (the community and the organizations) have to do to take it further?
- Korea and China have already showed us what kind of potential eSports has for the close future, so I hope Europe would get there soon. However, eSports' potential definitely doesn't stop there, it could become really big but I don't see that happening in the next five years... I think tournaments such as CGI are going to the right direction to make gaming mainstream, but in my opinion what eSports really needs is an organization like FIFA.
When looking into the future were do you see yourself in the gaming scene in five years, or do you think that you will retire before that?
- Never say never, but I don't think I will be playing competitively at least not on this level in five years. Not because I wouldn't like to, but we have mandatory military service in Finland and I have yet to see a player come out of there and still be able to compete with the best.
Which event do you think is the best event to attend for a gamer or spectator, and why?
- For player it's either WEG or CPL Dallas event depending on whether you want to only play or have a lot of free time to explore the city, get to know people etc, or just play the matches on really good computers without delays or problems. For spectators it'd have to be ESWC with their HLTV systems always working out perfectly, or WEG if you're Korean/Chinese and wish to watch the matches on TV instead.
It is common knowledge that players often get tired of playing and practicing day in and day out. How often do you consider or at least think about leaving the CS scene?
- I don't think I've ever considered quitting CS yet, I'm still really motivated.
Which place in the world have you enjoyed most while traveling, and is there anywhere else that you would like to go?
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil... I can't name a single negative thing about the location, only con was the language. I'd love to visit LA and NYC as well as Australia in general, those three are definitely on top of my list.
How would your life look like if you would have chosen, not to play counter-strike professionally?
- I'd probably be 'a normal guy' like anyone else, I know for sure that I'd have a lot more time for friends and school. On a downside, I would have missed a lot of trips and wouldn't have gotten to know a lot of great people, so I don't regret anything.
