Konna the Gamer

Hey there Konna! Could you start by introducing yourself to the readers?
Hii im a 17-year old student from Finland known as konna in the internetworld.

How did you start playing WarCraft 3? And how did you end up playing on a competitive level?
I have been playing FPS-games: CoD1 and CoD2 at a highlevel for some years now but those games dont include a big competitive scene so it was quite easy to make the swap to WC3 around patch 1.14 because of it being a much more supported game around the world.

Why did you choose to play the Orcs as your main race?
I dont actually know why i have chosen to stick with Orcs from the beginning. It seemed to be the coolest and easiest race to start playing from and in first times playing in RT and since then i have sticked to them even if it has been quite frustrating sometimes.

Is there anyone that you consider to be your idol or someone who has inspiried you much during your WarCraft 3 career?
Not really an idol but ElakeDuck and DayFly have inspired me the most with their style and i have allways tried to follow their games whenever it has been possible.

What has been the highlight of your gaming career?
Nothing really, winning few good names in inCup and thats it.. for now

What do you think about the WarCraft 3 scene in Finland at the moment?
Really good actually. Satiini being the over us all here but Finland has alot of players who arent so known, elfittaja & SeiN for example and few more.

What do you think about the upcoming WCG Finland qualifiers?
Good for Finnish community, but it will be easyrun for Satiini if nothing suprising wont happen.

You are currently ranked 4th in the Northrend Battle.Net ladder, which means you will be able to play in the new Elite Ladder when it is released. What kind of expectations do you have regarding the new Elite Ladder?
Im expecting to get a good training out of it and we will see how up i can get in it whenever it starts.

You play in the German team QPool. How is it there?
It has been quite hysterical after the second finish in ESL Bundesliga finals few players leaving the team. However we have allready made new addons to the roster and hope to do well in WPL Qualifiers atleast.

What do you think about the balance in the game at the moment?
I dont usyally spectate other matches than Orc games with the mindset of imbalance, but if i trust what i see is that most Night elf players seems to dislike Undead. Orc being slighty weaker in their matchups against Human & Night elf but being good versus Undead. So few fixes from Blizzard to races and produce few more balanced maps and its all okey.

What are your best and worst matchups, and which matchups do you enjoy and dislike playing the most?
Undead being clearly my best matchup followed by Orc mirror. Human being the worst matchup and night elf after that, however i enjoy playing against Night Elf the most and dislikeing Orc mirror.

Have you modified your hotkeys in any way?
Yes i have quite alot but most important of them are for example: (B) for build Burrow. (W) for cast Lighting Shield. (Z) for shadowmeld. Move stand for (Q) and shopitems are lined up in QWESADZXC. And Summon Quillbeast is moved to (F) if i somehow ever will be using BeastMaster.

How do you group your units in-game?
1. Heros / Grunts / Casters or bat riders (depending on situation)
2. demolishers
3. bat riders or casters
4. raiders kodos hh mercs
5. peons

How long do you think you will continue playing WarCraft 3?
Atleast now i dont see anything that could stop me playing WC3 so i could easily play to the publishment of SC2 but who knows everything can happen anytime.
