The addition to the rules for the Danish part of the qualifier, made by Jesper Nordahl Henriksen and Oliver “Quinine” Sjølin:

The Danish part of the ACON5 qualification will take part as a LAN based tournament with 16 players divided into 4 groups. The 16 players will be seeded from the playerpool of signed up players by the admins, and each player will be giving seeds in one of 3 categories: A, B or C.

There will be 4 A seeds, 4 B seeds and 8 C seeds, and each group will contain 1 A seed, 1 B seed and 2 C seeds, and playing each other in a bo3 system. Following the group stage, the 2 highest ranked will move on to the quaterfinals and play bo3 in a dual elimination bracket.

In the bracket rank 1 from group 1 will face rank 2 from group 3, and rank 1 from group 2 will face rank 2 from group 4.

In the event of a tie the individual games will decide the highest rank. In the event of a 3 way tie deciding games for the ranking will be played in a bo1 system with the highest seed removing a map from the mappool, followed by the lower seed removing 2 map, thereby making the highest seed choicing the map to be played from the remaining 2 maps.

In the initial group stage the map played will be decided the following way:

The lowest seed will start by removing a map, followed by the higher seed removing a map, and thereby letting the higher rank start by choicing the first map to be played.

In the quarterfinals maps will be decided as in the group stage, but with ranking in the group stage superseeding initial seeding, hence the lowest rank will start by eliminating a map, followed by the higher rank eliminating a map and then choicing the first map to be played.

In the semifinals and finals the original seeding are used to determine who will eliminate the first map and hence forth, meaning that the lowest seed start by eliminating the first map, followed by the higher seed eliminating a map and then choicing the first map to be played.
