Well, a few months back MYM|Moon lost to an UD in a 50 min game, the central reason being because the UD had more towers than units at some points. And a lot of HU wins are from fast expoing and lots of towers to keep it safe. So when I feel pessimistic, ya, I often feel that towers = win. It's not the whole story, of course, but from a low-level view it often seems that way.
