NiceGameTV has confirmed the signing of several Korean players to establish its first professional gaming division with the financial backing of one of Korea’s largest conglomerates, LG Group.

The Korean gaming portal site was founded a few years ago, offering news and coverages for all Korean Warcraft enthusiasts. Soon after, the company grew to become one of the largest Korean professional gaming websites, and now organizes seasonal tournaments, which includes the All-Star Clan Battle and the prominent Afreeca Warcraft League.

Commentator of NiceGameTV, DarkHorse who has emerged as one of the frontrunner’s as the team’s coach told myMYM.com: “We are very excited to create such a talented squad. However, the team roster is not completed yet, as we are still in negotiations with other players.

“Our first goal is to qualify for the next season of WC3L and NGL.

“Like other professional players, all players in NGTV will receive a substantial amount of monthly salary.”

He added: “We are doing this for the love of Warcraft. We love the game more than anyone!”

While this is Guardian’s first taste of professional gaming, players like MichaeL, Bz and ReprisaL have formerly played under the banner of Wicked E-Sports.
