The famous korean Undead player   Fov has not prolonged his contract with  wNv, which ended on 31st of May, due to some personal affairs, which means Fov is not part of wNv anymore.  Replays.Net caught up with him as the first website and made an interview.

Q: Hi Fov, firstly congratulations on the WWI 2nd place.
A: Thanks.

Q: In WWI you defeated 4K^Grubby and WE.Sky - two world class players.  WE.Sky, has not lost to a ud player in any big tournaments recently. Is this result in WWI satisfying for you?
A: Yeah, indeed, it has been a long time since the last time he lost to a UD player. I think the result is ok.

Q: You've said some time ago that you now dislike the matchup against humans the most, but in this tournament it seems that you have found a good way to take on top human players, right?
A: Long time ago, it was very hard for humans to match up with undeads, but since 2006 everything has been changed. Human players found good ways to defeat undeads, now they have many useful strategies when meeting UD. I think there is a little trouble to match up with humans in LT, TS and EI. But I believe we could find new ways to defeat them.

Q: Your good friend ToD made a surprising performance in WWI, and he defeated Moon, ReminD and you, and placed first. How do you feel about that?
A: As you know, he is one of the best humans in the world. Before WWI he made a lot of very aimed training. Of course before WWI many people thought Moon or Remind would get the championship, but I knew that he would enter the last final.

Q: Let's talk about another of your friends, 4K^Grubby. Since 2006 Grubby hasn't played well in many tournaments such as WCG and W3 League, and many people said it's because of his girlfriend. What do you think?
A: Haha. If a good player has a girlfriend, and if he performs well, people would say: look, it's because he gets a girlfriend and then performs well. However, if he doesn't play well, people will also say: it's because that girl makes him not play well.

Q: Do you mean the comments about player's girlfriends are unfair?
A: Grubby managed to get the 4th place in WSVG and 2nd place in WC League, and those results are not bad. There is no one who could win all the time. Maybe it's because his results in 2005 and performances in many international tournaments are very excellent, now people think his level descends. But the fact is not like this, and Grubby is still a world class player. If you ask who will win ESWC and WCG, I would say in my list there must be Grubby's name.

Q: It has been going around that you left wNv recently..
A: Yes, my contract with wNv ended on 31st May. I didn't resign it. My 8-month days in Beijing is good, except the terrible internet connection.

Q: Will you stay in China or return to Korea?
A: I have not made up my decision yet. Now I need to fix the affairs of my military service, as I don't know if I could put off the date of my military service.

Q: If you manage to put it off, will you go on your progamer career?
A: Of course, if not I'll go to do my military service directly. :)

Q: What will be Fov's next stop? I've heard it may be 4Kings again:)
A: No, I've not decided. Firstly I have to go back to Korea and confirm if I could put off the date of my military service, and until then I could think about which team I will join.

Q: What's your opinions on China E-sports scene?
A: Now E-sports in China is better and better, because there is a huge group of fans. But some managers/supervisors are not very good, without reference to fans or players. But E-sports in China is still on the way, and many things need to be changed. I hope it can find the right way, and I believe you could do it as well.

Q: Please talk about your impressions on China.
A: Hmm, I like the life in China very much. I have many friends here, and it feels good to party with friends and chat, and I know a little Chinese. It's very interesting to learn Chinese.

Q: You must have seen Starcraft 2 in WWI - will you play it in the future?
A: I think so, but I don't know if I will become a Starcraft 2 progamer, or maybe only play for fun. Now I don't want to play anything except Warcraft 3.

Q: Last question, if you manage to put off your date of military service, will you return to China?
A: My answer for this question is yes.
