A day of mishap at the hotel
Woke up happily in the morning around 10am. Oops, breakfast ended at 9.30am. Fine... I'll just have to go to the event without breakfast. Turned on the tap to get same water to brush my teeth... "Hey.. there's no water!" I yelled to Manuel. "What the...?" Ok, so we called the reception to complain, "Hello? Why there's no water in the room?!" The lady said there's maintenance right now, so she asked us to wait for awhile. I opened the tap again in 15 mins, and again in 30 mins, and still no water. Manuel said "Just leave the tap open so we can see it when the water comes".

Finally after an hour the water comes.. thank goodness. So I turn on the water in the shower tub, preparing to shower. Then I saw that the water wasn't right, it was brown! Yucks! Yelling to Manuel "Omg... come look at this! The water is brown!" Manuel called the reception again "Hi sorry, we have water now, but the water is tinted brown. Do you know why?" The reception said "Yeah, just leaving it running for a few minutes and it should be fine later".

We left the water running for 30 mins, and it's still brown. Then another hour or so... and still brown. I was getting so impatient.. and really craving for a shower and water to brush my teeth, while Manuel was just enjoying watching ToD vs Ted, Sky vs Ted and WhO vs Reign on WaaaghTV. All the while I was like.. "Let's call the reception again and complain." Manuel would reply "What's the use of complaining...?" (All attention to observing games)

By 3.30pm, I was so hungry already. There's no room service/food in the hotel at all. Our hotel is near to the airport and secluded from other buildings or food places, only way to get anywhere is to use the hotel shuttle service. So I was getting desperate, I wanted to eat and go to the event where the action is.. wanna meet up with people and colleagues and also watch the Warcaft III finals. Finally I decided to heck care and just shower anyway. It's the power of desperation. Firstly I turned off the tap and drained the water away. After all the water are drained away, I was disgusted to see black residues left behind in the tub.

I told Manuel "Whatever! I am just going to shower now.. I don't care anymore" He said "Yeah, just bear with it. It's not the worst. I saw a show with this girl going to Africa to experience the culture there. She had to build a house with cow dung and water. And she had to walk 20 km to get water". I just rolled my eyes.

You may wonder which hotel I stay in. It's a 2 star hotel - La Quinta Inn San Jose Airport. You may wanna avoid staying at this place if you can't stand looking at the two pictures below. Other than that it's an alright hotel.

Since WhO beats Sky, this means MYM]Grubby is still the only Warcraft III player to ever win both the WCG and ESWC title. WhO will also be at WCG Grand Finals in Cologne this year if I am not wrong. Let's see if he can also claim the WCG title. :)

In the semi-finals of Dota, MYM vs Kingsurf, there was a disconnect 1 hour into the game. However there was a saved game 20 mins ago, so they resumed from there.
MYM.Dota lost to Kingsurf in semi-finals, but managed to claim 3rd placing after beating EG. Congratulations! 3rd placing is also nice! :)
