You’ve probably heard of HomeStory Cup, the German inspanidual tournament hosted by  Dennis “TaKe” Gehlen every now and then for players from around the world. But what you may not have heard of is the newly announced Acer TeamStory Cup, which is the same deal but for StarCraft II team matches instead of inspaniduals. The final tournament will include eight teams, four from invitations and the other five from qualifying tournaments.

Our own MeetYourMakers StarCraft II team is among sixteen teams that will be battling over two slots in the European qualifiers. Our first match will be on Wednesday, March 20 at 5 p.m. CET hosted by TaKeTV. Our guys will take on mYinsanity, an international team based in Switzerland. Find the stream at taketv.net/streams/.

After the qualifiers, the Acer TeamStory Cup will take place over 14 play days with a $20,000 (€15,520) prize pool, half of which will go to the winner. Games will be best-of-9 in “All-Kill” format. The bulk of the tournament will be online, but the final four teams will compete in an offline tournament in Krefeld, Germany.

The teams already invited to ATS are mousesports, Team Acer, Axiom and Team Liquid.
